WORTH EVERY PENNY

Because of COVID Brandon from the Home Theater Department of Geek Squad (Home Theater Dept handles large TVs), took information from us over the phone to diagnose the problem prior to coming to our home. Based on our description he attempted to order the part he suspected was the problem. But the part wasn't available. So they called and told me I had a choice of an exchange for another of the same if it was available, another comparable tv costing the same as what I had paid for this one, or store credit for the total amount I paid for the original television. We chose the store credit. Within minutes I received two emails. The first was a copy of my original receipt. The second was the link for the store credit. It required my phone number and a Pin number that was on the bottom of the receipt from the first email. One click later and I had my store credit. It was really that EASY! We dealt with several people along the way. They were always pleasant and took their time to help us. By choosing the store credit, my husband and I were able to shop the current sales, decide if we wanted to downsize from 75", whether we wanted to spend less this time or maybe spend a little more. But several hours later we choose another 75" TV just not the same one. And YES we'll be purchasing the 5yr Warranty Plan again.

2-year Geek Squad warranty

I just don't like the fact that the TV come with one year warranty, so as soon as you purchase The Geek Squad protection, the protection cards immediately, so I basically only got one year protection. Not not a good idea in my book. It should kick in once my one year warranty is over that came with the TV, so I thought.

Tech Harvey

He was on time and he explained what was going on what I could expect what my five-year warranty covered what was wrong with my LGQNED TV and what my options were was very kind he was cognizant of, my household and that our household was a disabled household, and I was very appreciative of his generosity his suggestions and his great customer service thank you Harvey for a job well done !!

Must have warranty

It’s well worth the money because of the product has issues before five years is up. It’s gonna cost you a lot more money to fix it. I would highly recommend getting the five year warranty it has worked well for us.

Geek Squad is definitely worth it!!!

It needed a new part, so I waited 2 weeks for the repair to happen, which was fine for us because we have another tv. When they got here the part they brought was wrong so he went outside to order it and at that point decided it wasn’t worth it to replace that (and ended up needing a couple other parts that they didn’t realize we needed) so they told us we needed to replace it. It took me maybe 20 minutes to call in the replacement and in a week we had our new tv delivered and the old one was taken out. It would have been extra to have it mounted by geek squad so we opted out but we were so happy with how easy it was for the whole process. So worth it!! And I am assuming it took so long (about 3 weeks total) because of where we live — in the middle of nowhere. I will never buy another tv without geek squad protection!

100 Percent protection I can rely on

Tried a manual clear cache and a factory reset to no avail. Called geeksquad I bought a 5 year plan. Even though the tv was over the 30 day in store return since it was pretty new they swapped it out. I hear the horror stories of people and the insurance but in may case they were great. They were really polite and they were here the next morning with my replacement television. I would recommend getting the insurance for anything you care about keeping. I feel a little better knowing that if anything happens they will take care of it quickly. And the people that came to our house cared and were extremely professional and courteous. Kudos to best buy, I will always get protection on any significant purchase and can rest easy knowing Im not going to get a run around and excuses..Thank guys !

Picture is best in class!
||Posted .This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review.The first unit I had developed an audio problem where audio would drop out or become very distorted on TV speakers, external audio or earphones. Tried several troubleshooting techniques but no luck. Called Best Buy as I had Geek Squad Protection and they decided to send a new unit to replace it. The call took over an hour after being transferred to five different reps. Why not have one phone number that handles protection plans, thus minus one star for that and audio problem on review. The replacement arrived promptly and I set up the new TV. The picture is class leading! HDR and gaming are flawless. At 120 hz refresh rate there is no lag in signal. The audio still has a delay issue when using external audio system. I have 120hz HDMI cables. I’ll look into my setup to be sure it’s not my configuration. The Sony interface could have been more streamlined as there are three buttons on remote to bring up various menus and some are redundant. The software has extensive methods to change TV settings. I’m hoping for future firmware updates to resolve minor issues. For QD OLED I wouldn’t consider another brand coming from an LG OLED TV.
