Hoping We Won't Have to Find Out how GeekSquad wrk

We can't know how well Geek Squad is until we have a problem. So what else is there to say? Why would you ask about your Geek Squad service on a product we just bought? Expecting us to have to use it? Rating the Geek Squad at this point doesn't mean a thing.

Better to have and not need than need and not have
||Posted .This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review.So let me share my agony. Purchased my 23 yr old Daughter a 65” TV for Christmas. It was really for my 1yr Granddaughter…SHHHH! Well I mounted it on the wall, of course, and within a month or two they moved into another apartment without the roommates. Before place was remodeled for them they spent 3 weeks at her In-Laws. Well I moved them both times and when TV was turned on again after two moves, though seemingly perfect, the screen had apparently been pressed to hard at a single point and did not work. Not worth fixing. Bought her a 70” this time WITH THE WARRANTY!! Don’t make the same mistake I did :]

Great oled at a great price

The color rendering is flawless, and the motion interpolation works exceptionally well. I highly recommend this for a living room or bedroom with minimal windows or limited direct sunlight for the best viewing experience.

Fantastic Purchase

The amount I saved compared to buying expensive TVs, now I can spend on better services like high resolution streaming etc.

Geeksquad is a must

I had issues with a television that I had purchased. I called Bestbuy and was told that I had Geeksquad and my warranty was through them. It took a few visits, but they ended up replacing basically the whole tv just about. Less than a year later, it did the same thing and Bestbuy refunded about 90% of the amount I paid for tv to put towards another tv, so I went bigger. I am glad I purchased warranty or I would have just had to purchase new tv.

Sound bar replacement

No hassle
||Posted .This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review.I bought a Samsung TV in 2013. I extended my Geek Squad Protection plan before the 2 year mark expired. Thank goodness I did because the next year (2016) after extending the protection, a weird vertical line appeared on the TV screen. Called Geek Squad... so stressed out about it thinking the worst like they won't honor the protection, it's gonna take long to process a new TV, etc. They got somebody right away to look at the TV, told me it has to be replaced, got a call from corporate for pricing... my TV was $2,500.. 3 year depreciation later, they were willing to give me one for $1,500 either get a TV for that amount or pick a more expensive TV and they'll minus $1,500 from the expensive TV. I think it was fair. I didn't think I was jacked or anything. 3 years later, the TVs were more advanced and hi-tech. They gave me the pricing of what my tv with same specs would have cost in current times. I opted to get a more current version of Samsung TV (more expensive) and just pay the difference. Also got a 5 year protection plan this time around.

A Must Have!!!!

I originally purchased a Hisense 75" flatscreen TV that a little over a year later, the backlighting went out on half of the TV and right before Super Bowl Sunday...sad day... Though I wasn't pleased with customer support when trying to find a way forward over the phone, I eventually was able to get in touch with a Geek Squad representative via the chat (recommend going this route). He was able to locate my purchase, and inform me that my TV would be replaced and at no charge due to the inadvertent issues! Protect your investments! You deserve to be compensated for items that you pay for and don't work to specs!

Worth it

I had a very small dead pixel on my TV and Geek squad came to review it and the issue was quickly resolved as I was given a gift card to get a new TV.
