Worth having
||Posted .This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review.Luckily, I have not needed to use this coverage or plan so far and I'm helping that I never will, but it is very nice and comforting to know that it is there. Should I need it? And I can say from experience in the past that the geek squad is more than qualified and knowledgeable to handle any issues that you may have and need to express.

Worth the money
||Posted .This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review.I bought a 40"LED TV Westington Brand 4 1/2 yrs ago in Best Buy plus the geek squad protection. About 3 yrs later.... that TV started to have problem, I called Geek told them the problem, and they told me there they would send a tech to my house to fix within 7 days. A tech called me that they ordered a part from the manufacturer, need to wait 7-10 days for the parts. He would contact me once the parts was here. I guess there is a policy stating after certain days If they couldn't fix your product, they will exchange a new one or if the product is out of stock, refund will be offered. I got the refund. But please keep your receipt for the proof.

Good soup
||Posted .This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review.It’s nice to have a piece of mind that I have warranty over the TV and I did at first didn’t want to get it and then I decided against that and got it anyways and they just easily approved it so I like that that I don’t have to do a bunch of paperwork to do it

wont use it if you buy it........or?
||Posted . Owned for 1 month when reviewed.This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review.So like any product warranty you wont use it if you buy it. Or? I buy these warranties with things I don't want to carry back or printers so if the ink cartridge explodes. The only bad thing about these warranties is that one of the years runs concurrent with the manufacturer warranty so you don't get the true amout of warranty you are paying for. nice thing is that if something happens just take it back and throw it up on the counter.

BUY IT.

Multiple TVs have gone out and my Dyson vacuum.. they literally refund you your entire purchase amount to a gift card to buy a new one. If they’re able to fix it, they’ll come to you and fix it. SO BEYOND WORTH IT.

Dropped TV and Damaged Home….

On November 4th the installation team came to remove our current TV and wall mount and install the new wall mount and new TV. In the process they dropped our TV, damaged our wall, shelf, fireplace and floor. I have been trying to get a manager on the phone since then, it’s now 11/10. They have reordered the TV but we cannot get them to schedule another appointment to install. Also, the installation team left us with our old TV and wall mount uninstalled. So then my husband had to reinstall everything they removed on his own. This will be the last time I purchase from Best Buy.

||Posted .This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review.THIS IS NOT A GEEK SQUAD REVIEW!!! THEY DID NOT INSTALL. After I found where the A/C in was (never even addressed in the install sheet), the TV has a great picture and almost everything seems to work just fine. The extras are super. The only negative thing is that (unless there is more hidden information) when I plug in the "Audio Out" to another device, it bypasses the TV's sound. I didn't downgrade the rating, but if not something I can fix, doesn't detract form the overall score for the unit.

Protection - Price - Reassurance

The price of the plan is also less than most others. In the past, the Geek Squad Protection from Best Buy was quick, friendly and satisfactory. This makes everything about buying the new TV worry-free.

Bestbuy Doesn't Care About Customer Loyalty!

Bestbuy has lost touch with their loyal customer base in regards that they want to push That 179.99 a year Total Tech Plan every time you purchase an item and that's where you are automatically enrolled in a card blanche protection plan (FOR AS LONG AS YOU PAY 179.99 YEARLY)!!! Making the regular protection plan mediocre at best. A SCAM and a money grab if you ask me. especially when for as far as I can remember I've been an Elite Status member for spending a certain amount of money a year and now anyone can become an Elite Member for 49.99. Doesn't matter how much you spend in their store. SCAM!

Great value service

Always a hassle when a large item fails and one needs service or a replacement. Geek Squad makes it easy as they come to your house to repair or replace any issues not caused by accidental damage. They also offer installation to simplify the process and that's also a great value. I have not needed to used them for my TV's but I always buy it for the peace of mind.
