Love this TV!

Disappointed customer
||Posted .This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review.I purchased a protection plan along with a TV purchase to ensure I had a working and functional TV for at least 5 years. The purchased TV was the high end of the brand at the time and we've enjoyed it. Unfortunately I cannot say the same regarding the protection plan. In my first year, we ran into issues with the TV. It was under manufacturers warranty, so they covered a motherboard replacement. Within a few weeks of the manufacturers warranty ending, ran into more issues with the TV. This is the reason I purchased the protection plan and thought I was covered. It was easy getting someone out to inspect and determine another motherboard replacement was needed. That was during my last week of my remote job. I have since started a new job that's 45mins away. I communicated this and the technician said it wasn't a problem and scheduled a Saturday appointment. The date rolls around and no communication from Best Buy all day. I call and am told no agent was assigned and would escalate my issue. It cascaded downhill more and more from here. I had a total of 5 escalations and >12 interactions with Best Buy customer service via chat, call, and in store. Then I'm finally told by someone at corporate that they don't have Saturday appointments in my area and said I should take PTO. It's a new job that I haven't received any PTO yet, so the rep was basically putting me in position to call out sick and hurt my reputation and employment status with this employer. I ask about options like exchanging or returning for store credit and was told that's not an option because they haven't gotten a chance to fix it. They won't work with you for Saturday appointments. So I've been stuck with a malfunctioning TV for months and am told my only option was to mail a complaint to corporate. I mailed a letter to corporate and still haven't received any type of communication. I've been a long time customer of Best Buy. Very disappointed by this situation and I feel cheated being stuck with a malfunctioning TV. Why would I ever shop at Best Buy again after an experience like this?

Bestbuy Doesn't Care About Customer Loyalty!

Bestbuy has lost touch with their loyal customer base in regards that they want to push That 179.99 a year Total Tech Plan every time you purchase an item and that's where you are automatically enrolled in a card blanche protection plan (FOR AS LONG AS YOU PAY 179.99 YEARLY)!!! Making the regular protection plan mediocre at best. A SCAM and a money grab if you ask me. especially when for as far as I can remember I've been an Elite Status member for spending a certain amount of money a year and now anyone can become an Elite Member for 49.99. Doesn't matter how much you spend in their store. SCAM!

Great coverage, no catches!
||Posted .This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review.I’ve been using geek squad for all my purchases for the past 4yrs and it’s amazing the coverage you get at Best Buy with this plan take it form someone who really doesn’t purchase coverage for her items because there’s always a catch with all other companies but Geek Squad is amazing truly recommendable.

This payed for itself when my previous TV went out

I had a service tech come out to my house and looked over what was going on. He had to order parts for my TV. Once the parts was delivered to my house he came out a second time (both times were free of charge). The TV still would not work. So with the warranty, I got the price that I paid for the TV in a Best Buy Gift Certificate. I then purchased my new TV and still had money left over on my gift certificate. Also the service tech that came to my house was very knowledgeable and helpful. Very pleased

Best Smart TV for the Price
||Posted .This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review.This is one of the Absolute BEST TVs that I have ever owned and the amount of free channels from Samsung show me that I do not need cable TV and that my Apps like Prime, YouTube, etc. The sound and picture clarity of this Samsung is wonderful and the only thing that I could say is that if they added a built-in sound bar option would be amazing.

Protection plan, replaced tv.

After about 4 1/2 years the set started to go bad (white dots on screen). lived with that for awhile, the found the protection plan. Called for a tech to look at the problem, took the units numbers, to find a replacement part. Part was not made anymore, so, the plan replaced old tv with a new one. purchased protection plan again for the new tv..

Peace of mind

For peace of mind and generally have a tendency to up and stop working for no apparent reason. Maybe just bad luck or something else. But knowing that I had the geek squad there to help me really give me that piece of mind I was speaking about.

Needs clarification
||Posted .This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review.I’m confused about the returned note… geek squad guys requested for the exchange of the tv… we end up getting a different tv and paid extra and that’s fine but was told we can’t transfer the protection we paid extra to this new tv… we paid for 5 yrs protection and it’s only over a year and problem arises..

Sometimes there is a bit of wait time but that is telling me they are busy because they know what they are doing and fix problems.

Once arrived was very respectful tried to fix my tv and saw he could T and instantly put in for me to get a gift card to replace it. I went and picked out my new tv the next day
