    I've never needed to use the geek squad service plan that I purchased, but when you meet them in the store you know they are totally capable of handling any technical issues you may have with a variety of products. Definitely something I suggest with every purchase, especially those who aren't tech savvy, like me.

    I have been getting this plan on every tv that I have bought from Best Buy and it’s been a real life saver. It has helped me to replace the damaged or broken tv and be able to upgrade at that time as well. They also do the take down and set up to help out as well as take the old tv and box to dispose of for you.

    I think this is on my sound bar and hopefully I will never have to use it but glad to have peace of mind knowing if I do I can bring it in and they will take care of it.

    Had an LG LED TV die on me. Brought it into Bestbuy, had to make an appointment to speak with a Geek Squad member. Next appointment was available the following weekend. I went in the next Saturday, TV was sent out within a day or so. I kept getting emails telling me what was going on. After 5 days or so they told me nothing could be done to repair the TV, it would cost too much. And I was getting a replacement. Went back to Bestbuy and they gave me a gift card for the full amount. If I didn't buy this protection plan, I would be out of $600. Needless to say I used the gift card to buy a new TV and I bought the extended warranty.

    Let’s hope the tv either lasts longer or breaks within g the 5 year window, this warranty purchase will determine if I ever purchase one again. 10/10….

    Geek Squad Extended Warranty

    I highly recommend Geek Squad extended warranty. I have had 2 TVs fail which, were covered by the warranty. Best Buy replaced both TVs no problem. All I had to do was make the phone call; the new TV was delivered, and the old TV taken away. In fact, I upgraded the last time and just had to pay the difference.

    Geek squad is the best. Always very helpful and friendly and eager to get the job done. Sometimes there is a bit of wait time but that is telling me they are busy because they know what they are doing and fix problems.

    It’s nice to have a piece of mind that I have warranty over the TV and I did at first didn’t want to get it and then I decided against that and got it anyways and they just easily approved it so I like that that I don’t have to do a bunch of paperwork to do it

    Bestbuy Doesn't Care About Customer Loyalty!

    It's an average protection plan and nothing else. Hopefully I'll never have to use. Bestbuy has lost touch with their loyal customer base in regards that they want to push That 179.99 a year Total Tech Plan every time you purchase an item and that's where you are automatically enrolled in a card blanche protection plan (FOR AS LONG AS YOU PAY 179.99 YEARLY)!!! Making the regular protection plan mediocre at best. A SCAM and a money grab if you ask me. especially when for as far as I can remember I've been an Elite Status member for spending a certain amount of money a year and now anyone can become an Elite Member for 49.99. Doesn't matter how much you spend in their store. SCAM!

    I feel the folks at Geek Squad are patient, kind, and professional whether I contact them day or night. Most of the time we get the issue resolved online. There has been only 2 times where they said I needed to bring it in to the store. I believe it has been worth the fee because I live in a rural area and it is a 30 mile drive from my town to my Best Buy store.

    This is my first time purchasing GeekSquad Protection. I spoke to friends and family about their experience and found it compelling enough for myself on my new display. In the past, I purchased a 65" 4k TV that had vertical banding issues, I went through the manufacturer for repair and it was a headache to go back and forth and wished I forked the dollars for protection via Best Buy. I also will say that the 5 year protection and price brackets are pretty competitive in terms of value. This is about protecting the consumer and I fully appreciate Best Buy and Geek Squad being very transparent about that in this program.
