The Geek Squad protection has always been useful for us. Fortunately only had to use a few times. But worth it!

Best buy has the best protection plan of anyone I know

I bought this unit 1 year 4 months ago, and included a 2 year protection plan. The refrigerator ran fine until a few days ago when it just died. The compresssor failed. I called Best Buy to discuss using the protection plan to replace it. They wanted me to take the refrigerator to the store. Like, what? Because of the size of the unit, they didnt want to send a technician, which I get, but Im not hauling it out of my 2nd floor apartment across a parking lot to my car to get it to a store after having knee surgery. BB doesn't have good customer service anymore. Every person I spoke to to try to resolve this was a foreign female. Don't bother getting the protection plan and if you need the unit to last more than a year, don't buy this one.

Haven't used it but hope I never have to, but its nice to have.

Geek squad is the best I’ve been using this company for a while

I don’t know if they can fix anything because I paid the insurance company but what they don’t tell you is you have to bring it back to the store, so I sure wouldn’t buy a refrigerator because I don’t have a truck are any way to pick it up
