I’ve used the protection warranty several times. Every. Single. Time. It. Was. Easy. And. Painless. They have either fixed my stuff for free or just given me a free new one. Make this part of your budget to buy, if you have a problem later you will be sooooo happy you did.

Gotta wear protection! There are too many possible problems with modern equipment plus so many evil hackers wanting to ruin your computer.

I purchased an LG microwave on July 11, 2023, with a 4-year protection plan. On Aug 25, 2025, it had an opening issue, and the door jammed. Geek Squad agent, without even looking at it, flatly said Yes, it's covered, but we will have to ship it, and it could take 2 months or more to get it all fixed. So they basically wanted me to wait for 2 plus months, and the microwave is one of those appliances I use every day. After this terrible experience, I would recommend not purchasing the Geek Squad warranty. While purchasing this microwave, they were pushing the warranty on me and said no matter what happens, it's covered, Best Buy will try to fix it, if not, I`ll be provided with the new one or the option to buy another model if that particular model wasn`t available. Look elsewhere or make sure you get everything in writing. Two months to fix a jammed microwave door? That`s really unheard of.

This really helps every one needs to get a plan for their own comfort.

Normally, I would strongly advise against buying extended warranties. However, this one was a value for my countertop microwave. Naturally, I hope to never have to use the warranty, but this is a good deal in case I do.

We pretty much always sign up for coverage with electronics. Had to replace a unit and got excellent service without grief from the repair desk. Very satisfied.

Geek squad does offer decent service. They can't do everything but they sure do offer a good amount of services and support.

I will always purchase this protection. I had a washer and dryer that over the years that could mot be repaired. Contacted the Geek Squad and got brand new machines at no charge. I did purchase the protection plan.

My microwave was replaced in store for free. I bought another 4 year warranty on the new one.

Great value for the price. Geek squad takes care of my computers and appliances purchase at Best Buy. Technicians are knowledgeable and friendly. Trust them with all my purchases.

I hope this warranty will come in handy. I went thru about 6 microwave in the past 4 years. Quality sure have gone down.
