I buy from Best Buy even if I have to pay a little more because of their protection plan. I feel more at ease with the geeks than alot of the other retailers, plus the product normally outlast the warranty, but I get it just in case for big ticket items.

It’s a protection plan, I mean what can you really say?

My picture went out on my TV and the warranty covered a replacement TV. All done the same day. I received a larger television and cash because TV's cost less now.

I generally purchase protection plans for large ticket items and for smaller ticket items if the costs of the protection plan does not exceed 15% of the purchase price which is still a bit high. I have had to use the benefits of a protection plan before and for the most part it is worthwhile. Seems that the satisfaction level is largely based on the store's management policies and store reps. In a worst case scenario it's good insurance if you have product failure and or need support service.

This "insurance" plan is a definite must have, especially if you are not especially tech savvy. I have used it numerous times and it provides peace of mind and is reassuring to know that any problem(s) I encounter with tech issues will be handled in an efficient and thorough way.

I bought a floor model OLED LG 55 inch TV because the price was too good to pass up. I bought this warranty because it was an floor model, I usually don't purchase an extended warranty. Im so glad I did. There was burn in on the wcreen when I got home and the geek squad came over and replaced my screen within a week. Amazing customer service and amazing warranty! My last tv screen went black and I thought I was doomed. Here goes another $1000 on a tv. When it wasn’t even that old! But I have to thank my past self for buying geek squad. They were able to order parts and have them shipped. We were serviced during the pandemic and they took all the precautions! Ultimately my TV wasn’t salvageable so I was given a credit toward my next purchase! High recommend to everyone.
