Worth it!

For that purchase I thought I didn't need a protection plan. Never again for expensive TVs. I got the plan for my new TV. Better safe than having to buy new TV.

I called them, they were very nice and told me that model TV wasn’t able to be repaired and immediately issued me a store credit for full refund of purchase price to replace the tv. It was so easy, no problem. So of course I purchased the five year warranty on this replacement tv. Well worth it. Geek squad was very helpful.

Great oled at a great price

The color rendering is flawless, and the motion interpolation works exceptionally well. I highly recommend this for a living room or bedroom with minimal windows or limited direct sunlight for the best viewing experience.

The Protection Plan is worth the price!

The picture on the TV started to go with only a couple months left on the protection plan. Contacted GeekSquad and they diagnosed the issue and replaced my TV. I got credited for the TV I bought in 2017 and they waved the delivery and haul away charges, which allowed me to afford to upgrade my TV because all I had to pay was the difference. Highly recommended.

Disappointed customer
||Posted .This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review.I purchased a protection plan along with a TV purchase to ensure I had a working and functional TV for at least 5 years. The purchased TV was the high end of the brand at the time and we've enjoyed it. Unfortunately I cannot say the same regarding the protection plan. In my first year, we ran into issues with the TV. It was under manufacturers warranty, so they covered a motherboard replacement. Within a few weeks of the manufacturers warranty ending, ran into more issues with the TV. This is the reason I purchased the protection plan and thought I was covered. It was easy getting someone out to inspect and determine another motherboard replacement was needed. That was during my last week of my remote job. I have since started a new job that's 45mins away. I communicated this and the technician said it wasn't a problem and scheduled a Saturday appointment. The date rolls around and no communication from Best Buy all day. I call and am told no agent was assigned and would escalate my issue. It cascaded downhill more and more from here. I had a total of 5 escalations and >12 interactions with Best Buy customer service via chat, call, and in store. Then I'm finally told by someone at corporate that they don't have Saturday appointments in my area and said I should take PTO. It's a new job that I haven't received any PTO yet, so the rep was basically putting me in position to call out sick and hurt my reputation and employment status with this employer. I ask about options like exchanging or returning for store credit and was told that's not an option because they haven't gotten a chance to fix it. They won't work with you for Saturday appointments. So I've been stuck with a malfunctioning TV for months and am told my only option was to mail a complaint to corporate. I mailed a letter to corporate and still haven't received any type of communication. I've been a long time customer of Best Buy. Very disappointed by this situation and I feel cheated being stuck with a malfunctioning TV. Why would I ever shop at Best Buy again after an experience like this?

Well, After spending $3,300 on a brand new Television , I didn't want to spend another $600 on top of that for Insurance. But then I thought about it,,,,,,,,,,,What if this Television had electrical issues,,,,,,,,say,,,,,,1 year and 2 months from now ??? What would I do then ? I mean it would be outta warranty then. All I know is that for spending THAT KIND OF MONEY , I want to make sure that I'm covered way past the manufacturers warranty,,,,,,So I bought the 5 year plan,,,,,,,,,,,,,Also came with a piece of mind for the next 5 years. Don't you end up regretting NOT getting it.
