With today’s quality in electronics, you need an extended warranty plan. I’ve had to use it a while back on another product and the Geek Squad rep came to my house to address and repair the issue. It’s cheap insurance worth having.

they are very helpful, but sometimes difficult to reach the department. You get shuffled around corp and the local store, very frustrating

I always purchase an extended warranty on products I purchase from Best Buy. In the past if the product fails I would return the damaged product back to the store without any hassle at all. They would either exchange, refund or order me something newer if the old product had been discontinued. I rated the extended warranty a 4 because Best Buy extended warranty is a little higher than Sam's extended warranty on televisions or some other electrical products.

Purchased this Geek Squad protection plan to hedge my investment into our new Sony flat screen TV. Hopefully, I may never have to use it but if I do, I am confident that Best Buy will fix the problem quickly and without any hassles.
