    So glad I got the extra protection. I don’t get it for every purchase, but this is one product I couldn’t protect against surges because of space limitations behind the product. If you can spend a little extra money on the major appliances/products then the protection is worth it.

    I would suggest buying this coverage for expensive items such as TVs, laptops, cameras, etc. and for open box items. No need to buy it if you are pretty careful with your devices and if you are on budget, except for TVs which might give up at any time of its lifetime. Other devices might have a manufacturer's warranty, but if you can afford it, I would suggest still buy it for peace of mind.

    I bought this TV December 31st, 2014. Still works fine. You get what you pay for and I think I got a good deal. You have to fiddle with the settings at first but once you find a configuration you like you're set. It comes with its own presets but I don't care for them. Not mind blowing but its a good picture. I watch 1080 movies and play Xbox 360 (720) and have no complaints. 5 stars if I could access Netflix through the TV. If you're on a budget like me you're getting your monies worth and then some.

    I got the warranty based on the fact that the item I was replacing was a couple years old. The cost of repair was more than it was worth. So when I replaced it I just got the extended warranty.

    I purchased this for my big screen Vizio tv. The sound would go out but picture remained. I called geek squad, whk sent out z 3rd party repair in a couple days and he replaced the bad motherboard a week later.

    Bestbuy stands behind their protection

    Honestly not a big fan of “warranties” or as Best Buy calls it “geek squad protection” but in their case, they are the exception to the rule. I have never had a single issue with a product needing repair when I purchased their protection plan. They are pretty much the only company, who offers them instore, I can say that about. Kudos Best Buy!!!

    I've used the Geek Squad previously to mount my 65' inch TV and they did an excellent job. This is the first time that I've purchased an extended warranty for my TV through Best Buy. I was told by a family friend the service is excellent just in case my TV begins to act up.

    The replacement plans with Best Buy are great. If anything happens you just bring the item back and get a gift card to repurchase or you can purchase something else.

    This only cost $20 and since replacing it would cost a lot more than the original price of my open-box, on-sale TV, I figured it was worth it. I don't usually add this type of insurance, but for an open box TV, it seemed reasonable. I would recommend this to someone who also got an open box or a refurbished TV to be on the safe side!

    When offered, get the protection plan. You never know whether or not your purchased item is going to be the one that fails. Get the protection plan. It's worth it to relieve any product failure headaches you may encounter.

    Its totally worth the extra money. I get with each purchase With 2 kids and 7 nieces and nephews it feels good knowing that none of the parents will have a heart attack when one of our kids inevitably breaks something and any of our homes. Plus the replacement aspect is hassle free!

    Great service. Had previously purchased on my 3 year old tv which Geek Squad could not repair. Offered a new tv to replace the old tv at no extra cost. Needless to say as the previous 5 year warranty was on the old tv, I purchased a new 5 year warranty on my new tv.
