I've only used Best Buy warranty once in my life. It was with TIVO DVR OTA. It stopped working, took it to Best Buy, and they told me to get a new one. End of the story. K9

A just in case policy for just in case. I know the Geek Squad is knowledgeable.

Best warranty for TV's (covers burn-in). Only downside is that the price of the warranty is based on the TV's purchase price. I was unable to get a price adjustment on the warranty, even after getting a price adjustment on the TV (TV went on sale during my return/exchange period)

My samsung tv went on the blink. I had purchased a five year warranty and I am glad I did. Best Buy replaced my TV at no cost to me. The only thing I paid for was another 5 year warranty. Great to have. Would not be without it.

I always get the warranty and it pays off. twice now I have had TV issues from TV's that I have bought from Best buy and both times due to the warranty I was able to return the TV and get money back towards a new TV. I highly recommend getting a warranty with any large electronic purchase.

Glad I purchased the 5 year protection plan because I don’t think it’s that good of a tv.

The protection plan is a great choice when purchasing more expensive electronics. Can’t beat the ability to replace something you bought if it breaks without the hassle of manufacturers. The only negatice would be the price point.
