    My 4-year old LG OLD developed screen burn-in and within 3 to 4 days of contacting the Geek Squad it was replaced with the latest model at no cost to me.

    Only problem is three service calls before an exchange. Tech was on time and courteous. Finally after 45 days authorization for exchange was given. Authorized 50 inch as 49 was no longer made with one model drop. Still worth the money !

    Geek Squad came in and took care of me by doing a Sony Triage. They submitted a claim on my behalf and were able to get me a replacement confirmation code to have my current TV exchanged.

    Works as stated oled tv had burn in and techs came out and inspected the tv. A few hours later I received email saying they would replace tge tv.

    Good tv and brand. Had my other 55” going on 5 years. This one however stopped working after 3months. Geek squad came out determined it was the screen itself and couldn’t be fixed, but with my warranty i can still return it. Good to have.

    Geek squad sent a technician right away, technician had inspected the tv and could not repair the issue said it was a defect so recommended a refund or replacement, I had no issues with receiving a new replacement, thank you Geek Squad.

    I know people look at warranties as a way for companies to gain more money from you, but I am a BIG fan of Best Buy's warranties. For one, why would you spend hundreds of dollars on a product and not cover it? You don't buy a car and not get insurance? I've had great luck with ALL of my electronics (knock on wood) but I still don't want to risk it. If I spend hundreds of dollars on a product, its an investment that I want to make sure is covered.

    Saved me a ton of money when the last tv went out. They gave me a gift receipt for the value of the tv and it was stress free and easy. Will never go with a lesser warranty again, its very much worth the money.

    Over the years I have purchased many items from Best Buy. I purchased this plan for most of them. Thankfully, I haven't had to use it on too many of the items, but it was and is a good investment. Once I had a computer that needed replacement and there were occasions when I needed tech support for an item and received the help for free. I consider it a small price to pay for insurance that, like most insurance, comes in handy if you need it.

    5 Year Warranty

    We purchased a 5 year warranty for our new LG TV. The original TV we bought had really bad pixel burn on the screen, and the 2 year warranty really saved us. We purchased the 5 year warranty for the new TV we traded for with hopes that the TV outlives it's warranty. The cost of $30 for 5 years is worth the cost, especially if something happens to the TV.

    We love the geek squad protection. This is the main reason we shop at Best Buy. We had a problem a few years ago with a tv that we had owned over a year. We took the tv back to our local Best Buy. They looked at it and refunded us the entire amount we had paid for the tv. It took about 40 minutes for the entire process, including waiting in line.

    Had to get a new tv after the other one died in less than 2 years. The installers called first, arrived on time and were very efficient. They worked well in my home. Spent time explaining all features. Synced the tv with my sound system and fire stick. AND they cleaned up after themselves. Great experience all around.
