When I invest in a big-screen tv, I want to protect my investment! That's why I always buy a Geek Squad Protection Plan! I've needed to use the warranties on several occasions, and the experience was very satisfactory. Sometimes they replaced the item, refunded the purchase price, or repaired the item. I actually have a 3 1/2 year old blu ray player in the Geek Squad shop right now--under a 4-year extended warranty that I purchased for the item! This time they are repairing it, but that's fine with me. It's so nice that after using it for 3 1/2 years, now that it's not working my extended warranty is kicking in and more than paying for itself!!!

Install can be a stressful experience but you are in good hands with a geek squad install!!! Courteous and knowledgeable describes the process. Definitely dependable and efficient!

I've never made a large purchase at Best Buy w/o the Best Buy Standard Geek Squad Protection service. A Best Buy Geek Squad Agent recently determined my Sony XBR-70X-850B had a bad panel / display after two years. I was provided a phone number to call for a replacement. Although I wasn't given "full credit" or what I paid for the TV two years ago, it was close to what I paid two year ago. I asked about upgrading to the Sony XBR-75X940D, and to my surprise, I was able to apply the "credit" towards a brand / model that was a "step-up" from what I had. Within 10 days, I had my new TV (Sony XBR-75X940D) delivered by two Best Buy Geek Squad agents and set up in my home. I won't ever go without the 5-year Standard Geek Squad Protection plan.

1st TV was faulty. Got new one shipped out and no problems with 2nd unit

Always go with the Squad! Otherwise here in Hawaii it’s nearly impossible to find anyone capable or willing to fix your electronics for less than what you paid brand new!

I recommend getting the warranty I. Any item you purchase with Best Buy. I have used the warranty on two different items and they honor the warranty and replace or refund what you paid for the item

It was the day before thanksgiving and I turned my tv on and the screen was white. I had only owned it for 13 months. I unplugged it and tried to turn it on and it wouldn’t work. I looked up the number for geek squad and spoke with a really nice person. They replaced my tv for free I just had to repurchase the geek squad for my new tv because it wouldn’t transfer over.

Always get the GSP on TVs. ya never know how much you use them now and they arent built like appliances. appliances are built to last 10 years. but TVs arent, and TVs have alot more functionality and use so Id always get GSP on TVs/

I purchased this tv over a year ago and absolutely love it. The picture quality is great! I love all the feature with how the UI is set up for all my streaming services. I love the simplicity of the remote.

I bought only the 2 year geek squad service. Hopefully the tv will outlast that, but I purchased due to the likely hood that any failure will probably be an early one and the squad will handle pixel or other failures after the 1 year HiSense warranty.

It's a warranty, but not one you should be weary of. Most protection plans have gotten a bad stigma over the years, but this Geek Squad protection plan has never let me down. Best Buy has also been helpful and resolved any product issues I've had due to this warranty. Protection covers numerous categories, so give yourself the peace of mind and pickup the added coverage, it costs essentially the same as a weeks worth coffeeshop trips but now you're TV is worryfree for 2 years.
