Always good to have have not to use yet. Years ago I had their protection with a smart TV, when things went wrong I got the tv replaced no hassles These aGeeks are pretty cool.

When I bought a plasma tv about nine years ago I bought a five year plan because I knew the plasma tvs where going away and couldn't get it repaired. In four years the plasma screen did indeed go on us and Best Buy replaced it with a Sony LED 4K. I bouht a new five year plan and in three years this tv screen had problems. And sure enough this TV was discontinued so they couldn't get parts. So they replaced it with a new Sony TV. So I bought my third five year plan. Worth every penny.

Geek Squad Came Through with the Factory Warranty did not!

A protection plan is great if you're overly cautious and almost a must if you have children. Would highly recommend for purchases over $100, especially if they have a lot of moving parts.

Purchased for a new Sony TV. Why? My view is the technology has advanced far enough for "fixed location" electronic items, especially TV/Video displays that the manufacturers should include at least 5 year warranty other than accidental damage. They don't. Best Buy through the Geek Squad gives you what manufactures should; extended warranty. Knowing I'm covered for failure of the product and don't have to lug it back to the store is "sleep insurance." Haven't had to use it on the Sony, but a laptop I bought, we south on me under the Geek Squad warranty and the replacement was no hassle. Even got a slightly newer model of the same product (Lenovo) as my model wasn't available. No hassle. I know some have complained about Geek Squad service, but my view is it's a local issue, not one of the program, and I've never had an issue with level of service with my chosen store (I have 3 I can get to in about the same time).

This has saved me a lot of money over the years. I have had this for several years.

I love my fire tv i get all my channels plus my subscription channels are also on there.

We got the 5 year warranty and it’s the best our previously purchased Sony kept freezing and they came out 8 times replaced everything and finally gave us a full refund! We were able to get a new tv and so far it’s been great!

We have had Geek Squad for quite a few years now and they do very good work. If they can fix it they will. And if they can't fix it they will tell you that also. We took in an old computer and they told us they couldn't fix it. That's the way it should be. It's worth the money you spend for it.

I'd definitely recommend Geek Squad for all of your electronic purchases because it gives you a peace-of-mind and you know Best Buy ain't going nowhere so they'll be here for the long haul!

I always take it an extended warranty because I have found out that it pays off in the end and besides, I want to make sure I'm protected. Best Buy's warranty is a very good warranty, that's why I have no problem in paying for it, even if I don't use it, I do have a piece of mind during those 5 years since the manufacturer warranties are usually only 1 year. Just being able to take it to Best Buy, rather then sending it off, makes it even better.

Its your standard protection plan. Nothing more nothing less.

So worth it. This was on my parents old TV I bought them. TV was about 4 year old and started getting dark spots. Geek squad had me send pictures and approved replacement. They came out and delivered the new TV and removed the old. Would always suggest either the individual plan or the plan that covers all purchases, both are a good value
