I recommend the 4 year protection plan for my Sony DVD player. I feel assured that if have any problems with the DVD player, somebody from Best Buy will assist me.

I always buy the extra protection for laptops, DVD players and Xbox. Have needed them more times than I can recall and still ahead on money spent vs covered items. A must!

I guess this is a good idea for the peace of mind you get knowing you have the protection it affords, but tell you truthfully I haven't had to use it yet.
