I think the service is good and geek squad should be promoted

To be honest i baught it to go with my lg oled 65 but it freezes on most movies even when they are new. If you have a high end hone theater i would look into another player

I purchased this however I realized doing this was not really needed.

Geek Squad is missing appointments with me. Lost a days work when nobody showed up for an appointment, and this past Friday, 12-4-2020, a second time I had an appointment scheduled, nobody showed up from Geek Squad. What is going on? Disappointed in Geek Squad, Carl J. Niedzwiecki

Waste of money for me, my equipment is pretty good. I'm going to stop adding on these plans because it's money flushed down the drain

It wasn't worth it for the device I bought. The 2 year plan would have been much smarter.

Usually the item craps out right after the 2 year plan runs out

This is an excellent 4k Blu-ray player, an update to the previous UBP-800M that adds Dolby vision. I have never had any issues with it. The movies are super crisp in HD and SD upscaling is amazing. The audio options on this player will not disappoint especially if you have a surround system. This unit has an excellent build quality and features, I really love the fact that you can open and close the disk with the remote. Picture quality is top notch Sony style. I’m a keep this review short and sweet, I highly recommend purchasing the unit you won’t regret it. Pros: Build quality Picture quality Audio settings SD Upscaling Dolby Vision Features / options Cons: Limited Apps (smart features not good)

As a cd transport using just the digital out it works as expected. Be nice if a display for tracks and timer but normal for a dvd player to presume that info would only be visible thru a video connection

Bought this as an extra warranty on my 4k player. A preace of mind that if something happens.

Competently installed my 2 TVs: 77" S95C and 43" The Frame. They were quick, professional and prompt. Would use again!

Geek Squad 2-Year Standard Geek Squad Protection Worth not having to worry about repair or replacement.

Gorgeous results BUT with freezing. Tried the same blu ray on the Xbox and an old Sony (which is supposedly notorious for freezing problems) and I had no freezing issues. It was only with this UB420 model that the freezing occurred. Returning and planning to buy from another source.

Piece of junk. No LCD readout. Doesn’t begin play automatically when you insert a disc. Also, as a CD player, will play some but not others—for no apparent reason. If it cost a nickel more than the $35 I would return it but for the money can’t be bothered.

Purchased this player on 17 July 2022. One year later 25 July 2023 it stopped playing Blu-ray discs. I DID NOT SEE THAT COMMING. Stay away from this player. Not worth the hassle to get replaced.
