We love the GE OPAL Ice maker but they are expensive and tend to break. The last one lasted just shy of two years. With the extended Geek Squad protection the return was quick and easy. They determined based on the symptoms that the unit was not repairable and they issued a refund. I was lucky and the newer model was on sale so I came out with a new ice maker same day with a new 4 year protection and a few dollars credit left on the gift card. Highly recommend.

Best warranty Ever!!! No hassle for repair or replacement

Best refrigerator I ever purchased for my office! It keeps everything frozen in the freezer and fits a lot of stuff. I generally use the freezer part for popsicles or ice cream. The refrigerator has a shelf for sodas or juice boxes which is great for the kids. I use mine in The office so it fits a ton of food and snacks. Keeps everything cold. I love the storage spaces too! Perfect for me!

Purchased this for my work office in 2018 & it’s still going strong in 22”. Stays cold, no strange noises & for perfectly in the corner on my rolling cabinet.

Great program super easy to use and have never had a problem

I bought this ice maker 2 years ago and it is still in perfect condition. I recently upgraded and got a different ice machine worth over $600 and it didn’t hold up for more than 4 months. But this ice machine gives me no problems and is not my “ol reliable”!!!

great value peace of mind for any problems after initial warranty

The Opal worked well for two years and then died. Fortunately, before I bought it I had read reviews and learned that it was prone to failure so I got the four-year warranty. It broke down two years and two months after we got it. We cleaned it regularly, use the additional filter, and only ran it with distilled water. It definitely requires a lot of TLC, but it's worth it while it's working. We do love ours, but make sure to buy the four-year warranty and remember to do all the recommended maintenance. Geek Squad refunded our money and we just purchased another Opal 2.0.

Great plan and price for the size of the product. They went over the plan in detail so i understood everything that was covered and how to call and use if i ever need to.
