For the price definitely worth it for peace of mind!

I compared the value of Geek Squad vs. the protection offered by the manufacturer for extended warranty. The cost is much cheaper - and unlike the manufacturer warranty where I recently had to deal with multiple calls, scanning and uploading of receipts, etc., this is a much better deal.

We always buy the Geek Squad protection. It's inexpensive and comes in handy. So far, we've only had to use it once for a microwave that went south after 1.5 years, and we got a brand new microwave for turning it in on the extended warranty. So we're sold on the protection plan. A!

When you need help with your product, they're always there! One call and you'll be very happy with your choice for this service. 10 stars if possible for Geek Squad.

Love everything about Best Buy and their products!

I think i bought this for an easy bake oven, but if it breaks gotta love the geeks they get down

The agents removed my old TV from the wall mount. Existing mount had to be replaced. They had a suitable remote in truck, and there was no delay in installation. When they left everything was hooked up and working. This included the ARC function with my receiver. Everything was cleaned up

I purchased an LG microwave on July 11, 2023, with a 4-year protection plan. On Aug 25, 2025, it had an opening issue, and the door jammed. Geek Squad agent, without even looking at it, flatly said Yes, it's covered, but we will have to ship it, and it could take 2 months or more to get it all fixed. So they basically wanted me to wait for 2 plus months, and the microwave is one of those appliances I use every day. After this terrible experience, I would recommend not purchasing the Geek Squad warranty. While purchasing this microwave, they were pushing the warranty on me and said no matter what happens, it's covered, Best Buy will try to fix it, if not, I`ll be provided with the new one or the option to buy another model if that particular model wasn`t available. Look elsewhere or make sure you get everything in writing. Two months to fix a jammed microwave door? That`s really unheard of.

It's useful, of course it is...BUT if you use your protection on the product then you need to purchase new protection! It does not make sense. In my case, my microwave door was factory defective (the door didn't open) so I unpacked it, saw the issue, packed it again and went straight to BB, as it was more than 30 days since I purchased the product the Protection Plan came to play (don't judge me, we bought it for our new home which was on repair at the time we bought it) and yes, they did change the product but not without telling me "you want protection for this one also?" I ask why if I already bought the protection plan, and it is a 'one use' thing. Totally disappointed on this part, the protection plan is not cheap, it should at least include some extra coverage for factory defects.

I have had to use the Product Protection plan only two products I purchased from Best Buy in the pass. All went well. No run around, no denying the purchased product. I have purchase numerous products from Best Buy only complaint is slow service. If you looking to purchase similar product from Wal-Mart, beware they DO NOT stand behind their product.

We were able to return the microwave without any trouble. They gave us a refund and we bought a new one.

I will never purchase an item without also purchasing the protection plan. It has saved me more than once. Great people that service all the items.

Never buy anything without Geek Squad!! They are your protection from all the crazy crap effecting computers! For over 14 years I've been buying best buy with Geek squad and I can tell you, I been helped, refunded, repaired so so many times I lost count! The plans stand on their own!

I bought a warranty on my purchase of microwave two years ago. It stopped working 10/03/22 I returned it, Best Buy honored my warranty today I received my new microwave save value as first one. Thank you B.B

This is the best option when buying devices and appliances. To know that you have replacement or repair coverage is a comfort I will always pay for when shopping at best buy. When the manufacturer warranty runs out you can depend on geek squad

Best buy has the greatest warrentys in the buisness. Thats why i bought every major and most minor electronic and appliance pucrchaces from best buy. There warrentys are awsome no questions asked just bring it back and get a new one. As simple as that..

The last microwave we bought lasted only a year, so we got the warranty with the new one we bought.
