Protection is always a great idea for the products that we live with today.

The guys were super prompt and very organized and were very knowledgeable of the TV and I felt very happy and confident about knowing how to use the remote!

I purchased protection for GE microwave. Glad I did. It blew up out of warranty. They replaced it no charge and no questions asked.

Hopefully will never have to use this but I have the assurance if product stops working within 2 years, I have this to fall back on.

Purchased two year warranty for Microwave Oven. Have used it on the past when microwave indoor light stopped working. Best Buy gave me a brand new replacement Microwave.

I also get geek suad for my appliances. They always come through!

This protection plan is so helpful. We bought our dishwasher 2 weeks before purchasing other items, and with this protection plan Best Buy came out and installed our dishwasher.

It is always a safe bet to have the additional protection, and you will hate it if you don't have it when something goes south, and you fail to buy it. ;)

I will never get Geek Squad protection again! I got the Geek Squad plan when I bought a microwave. I returned the microwave and received a refund. However, when the store gave me the refund they said that they could not give me a refund for the Geek Squad plan, because "you have to call Geek Squad to get a refund for that." The Assistant Store Manager was close by, and he confirmed that "that's the way it is in the system" and he could not do anything about it. I called Geek Squad the same day and eventually talked to a rep who said that I would get a refund for the plan in 7 to 10 days. It's been over a month, and no refund. Today I spent 45 minutes on a second call to Geek Squad Billing & Cancellations Dept. The rep said that she forwarded my request to another office and I "should" get a refund in 7-10 business days. So if you buy something with a Geek Squad plan, and return the item look out! You are dealing with two separate parts of the company that have apparently not integrated their computer systems. To get all of your money back you will have to spend a couple hours on the phone. Or, like many people who are pressed for time, just give up and contribute to Best Buy's profits while getting nothing for it.
