Always get the protection plan when I have any doubts about the longevity of the product. Things work well when you buy it but never know what happens in a year or two. Best Buy does a great job in providing the insurance.

I was afraid the item I receive may be not working as I've seen in the reviews. Not sure it was during delivery or what. After setting up, I noticed the AC mode air isn't what it should be - it works like a fan. I had it on for 45mins to see if it cools the room - it's not hot yet so it should have made the room cold. Best Buy won't let me return it and send a replacement bc I passed the return date - I contacted them less than 30 days - I wasn't aware I only had 2 weeks. I didn't set up the AC immediately bc it was still good weather. I wanted to test it before 30 days was up. I'm sorry but this is so wrong. They want me to contact manufacturer to have them review even though I purchased Geek Squad... Also, the item received was 10,000 BTU, not 14,000 BTU. False advertisement

Works excellent room is cooled off immediately. Used to be hottest room on second floor now is the coolest.

4 or 5 year protection plans are the best. Why not be extra cautious? The manufacturers warranty expires in 1 or 2 years. I plan on using my appliances and devices for many years.

I always get my electronics insured but hardly ever use the insurance, usually there’s always a deductible but with geek squad it was completely free when my AC broke down I got a gift card with the amount I bought it for and got another one very simple process

I always purchase Best Buy's warranty plan. It can be a little pricey depending on your purchase but it's great to have the peace of mind that if any was to happened to the product, it will be fixed or replaced.

I have always purchased the geeksquad protection plan for all my electronics. Other than the wait time frame for items sent to the repair warehouse, my products have been repaired or replaced for having this protection plan...Haven't had to use it for my AC or current TV yet
