Geek Squad protection plans cover so much more than standard warranties through the manufacturer, like normal wear/tear, damage from surges/dust/dander/humidity.

Things work well when you buy it but never know what happens in a year or two. Best Buy does a great job in providing the insurance.

It can be a little pricey depending on your purchase but it's great to have the peace of mind that if any was to happened to the product, it will be fixed or replaced.

Other than the wait time frame for items sent to the repair warehouse, my products have been repaired or replaced for having this protection plan...Haven't had to use it for my AC or current TV yet
