After a month the turbo function on my de humidifier stopped working. I had bought a 4 year Geek Squad service plan for it. So I made and appointment and brought it into a store. They would replace the unit but the rest of the plan's time would expire. I wasn't happy with that option so the Geek Squad at the store told me I could pursue a manufactures warranty clam. I reminded them that the Insignia brand is Best Buy's brand so they are technically the manufacture but they would not or could not start a warranty claim for me. So I wheeled it back out of the store. I guess I'll limp along without the turbo function and wait till it completely dies.

Worth the extra cost to have the replacement coverage

This is a great dehumidifier but the tank is small.

The greek squad is awesome .you do have to wait to see them

GEEK SQUAD SETTING UP TV WAS GREAT. HOWEVER, WHEN CALLING TO FIX PHONE PROBLEM 3 MONTHS LATER (HAVE TECH SUPPORT FOR ONE YEAR), THEY DID NOT RETURN MY CALL AS THEY STATED. WHEN I CALLED BACK, WAS ON PHONE FOR 45 MINUTES & STILL COULDN'T SOLVED PROBLEM. THEY CONNECTED ME TO ANOTHER GEEK SQUAD PERSON. NOT IMPRESSED.

It's a protection plan. What else can you say about it? Gimme my points.

Haven’t used it yet but the price is decent for 2 years on my product. And I have a peace of mind knowing if something happens I’m protected.

Return total $0. Why? The returned item was less than 60 days old and under manufacturer warranty.

this was second unit I purchased that did not work and had to return to Best Buy.

Have the geek squad protection for multiple things and is nice to have for piece of mind covering things

what can I say - it's insurance for a problem and hope I don't need it

This dehumidifier removes moisture like a champ, but I simply cannot get the thing to drain to the hose. It's new (or so I assume--the packaging was pretty beat up), so not a cleaning issue. I have followed all instructions as to settings (Cont.) and how to position the hose (no kinks, no bends, no uphill travel). Still, it drains to the bucket, which I then have to lug to the bathroom, making a mess and invariably getting water all over the floor. I'd recommend going with a different brand or a model that is more user-friendly. This one is so far a disappointment.

Paid $65 for a 4 year plan on a GE dehumidifier. Dehumidifier stopped working after 1 year. Best but could not repair so they gave me an exchange but still charged me this difference of the new model. GE would have done this for nothing. They also said the 4 year plan dies not continue to the new unit. This is not a 4 year plan! I now have a dehumidifier that is not covered although I paid for the plan. Don't fall for the lies.
