Came in handy the last dehumidifier that I bought only lasted a year. I brought it in and let them know the issues that I was having. Got store credit to buy a different model. It paid for itself.

You would do best to get the extended warranty on your purchase of any dehumidifier. Once the factory 12 month warranty is up, geek squad warranty kicks in for any issues and problems that may arise. Get it, you'll be thankful you did in long run.

We have used the Geek Squad Protection plan a lot. It is great to have this service when you don't really understand how to fix some of the electronic items one buys nowdays.

I purchased an off brand appliance with hesitation but I felt comfortable knowing that it was backed by Geek squad protection. Haven't needed it yet but I know it will be there if I do.

Had my dehumidifier go out and they gave me a gift card for the cost of a comparable model in the store. Waited for a sale and picked it up with enough to spare for another protection plan.

I normally don't do extended warranties, but with Geek Squad, I've had such great service in the event that something breaks down. I'm fine buying the protection even if I never have to use it than to not buy it and need it.

The Best Buy Geek Squad warranty is the best. We had a problem with a dehumidifier once and they issued a gift card for refund.

I use this dehumidfier in my sunroom.Lots of humidity in there due to the location of the room and our great variation in TN weather. Most dehumidifiers are used in basements, but this is great for my sunroom..makes it nice and comfy. Juniper,Jackson TN

Very inexpensive - past dehumidifier ownership made me nervous because they don't seem to have a long operation life, thought it best to add the protection warranty since Best Buy offers a reasonable price warranty.
