I have the 2-year Geek Squad plan for my TV. I filed a claim when my TV screen stopped working but still had sound. I booked an appointment with Geek Squad, and they came to the house. They serviced my TV and gave me the info to call and order my replacement since there were no parts to fix my issue. The same day I called and the representative helped me with the replacement, ordered the TV, and set up an exchange date. Got my new TV without issues and my grandmother is very happy to watch TV again! It took 2.5 weeks to complete this which was long, but I understand that they had a full schedule when I made the service appt. I would recommend Buybest and their Geek Squad Protection Plans. The technicians were nice and helpful, the representative was kind and resourceful, and the Geek Squad delivery was quick. Thank you Geek Squad!

Always get the 5 year warranty. Always. Its worth it just in case you're tv takes a dive also the warranty covers remotes that stop working

Geek squad has the best protect 4 years tv went dow best buy came to house realized tv could not be fick in 30 minutes I have an email with a code to take to store or go on line and get my new tv for free

I think it is a really good product. I had an issue with a Sony TV and fortunately I had the five-year protection plan through Best Buy and they warranty the TV out for me.

Cant speak on other warranties or services but definitely geek squad took care of me. Specifically Norman the tech i was lucky to get. This is a must have and it gives you a peace of mind

We purchased one of these 5 year warranties along with a 75” Hisense tv. Exactly at the 2 year mark, the tv died. It was a bad panel and main board. Once the panel is damaged, they just give you a credit towards a replacement as panels are not repairable. 2 phone calls later and a new tv was ordered for exchange. 2 days later I had the replacement in home. Easy Peasy… Note: They gave me a current day replacement credit towards a direct replacement of what I originally purchased. That total was higher than the original purchase price with tax and warranty. I can’t say that this will apply to all but, it worked out well for me. I then decided to upgrade and the full exchange value was applied to the new tv. This ended up being a great deal. My new lg qned tv is now hanging up and I took another warranty to protect my investment as well. The cost seems high but, it is well worth it when you are planning on buying a large tv as it comes with in home service.

Geek Squad add on when buying a system a must. My LG TV quit after a year. Geek Squad replaced the TV and did the reinstallation. Worth the cost

If that's what you want, try the protection, but most Insignia TVs really don't require it (my personal opinion).

It's essential to have this protection because you never know if a device will be good or not. It may come with a manufacturing defect that isn't usually noticed at first, but after a certain amount of use, a problem arises. That's what Geek squad protection is for. We had to use our 2 year plan. They did pay up to what we paid for the TV but that was a lower amount due to a recent discounted price. Therefore in order to swap out for a "like TV" we would have to pay more! Should be based upon the value of the TV when it was originally listed. If we swapped for the same amount we paid we would wind up with a inferior TV today. So we would up having to pay more to upgrade due to the defective TV in under 2 years.

Hopefully don't need to use it but good to know I have the protection for 5 years considering how often electronics tend to break early.
