Geek squad protection. Samsung TV

If your making a big investment the piece of mind geek squad gives you is nice. I bought this exact same tv a couple of years ago with no protection true story and after a couple of months the screen broke. That tv is at the town dump. Anything can happen and no it wasn’t the kids. Life happens. Even after the year a line can come down one side then the other and your out of luck. Then you’ll be wishing you got that protection. So take my inexperience as a reviewer and just get that much needed protection. Hope I helped.

Quick and painless protection

Since Samsung doesn't think much of their products and provide a minimal warranty I got this to be safe. My last tv has lasted well but the next one failed in less than 2 yrs. I Showed them the issues and they instantly gave me full credit of purchase price. Too bad they don't consider a sale price when giving credit. I had to pay out a little over $100 to get an exact replacement with the current model since there were no sales at the time.

Warranties Make It affordable for all T v's And ap

What a buy at the time where inflation is terrible and everyone is having A hard time.. I think Best Buy for keeping the warranty price down low and affordable, thank you. Guys,

Great Insurance, Ease the Mind

I’ve used the warranties before and it’s been a smooth process. Couldn’t fix item so they gave me store credit for the original amount of the tv

Insurance, not Protection
||Posted .This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review.The Geek squad protection had to be activated for my Samsung 55" inch TV after 3 years. Plus side: I was able to get the value for the TV to trade in for another TV. Minus: once you have to 'activate' your Geek squad for the trade in you lose it. I think it could be argued that if the Geek Squad concurs that your TV can't be fixed and needs to be replaced after 3 years, why shouldn't I still have two years of Geek Squad Protection left? So I guess it's not so much 'protection' as 'insurance,' but def. better than having to buy a new TV flat out.

Totally worth it

It does not cover physical accidental damage. I bought a Samsung TV from Bestbuy and after 4 years of long use via gaming, the power supply went out, something the warranty would cover or if there's a bad HDMI cord.

Geek Squad to the rescue!
||Posted .This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review.We purchased this extended warranty because my dad has recently been having issues with his Samsung TV. The TV itself is really good until it glitched out at less than four months. The Samsung rep gave me the option of having their subcontracted serviceman or Geek squad handle it and I chose Geek Squad thinking it would be faster. Turns out it was but the person who set up and scheduled did not diagnose the problem correctly and therefore ordered the wrong part. I decided to keep having Geek Squad reschedule to fix but decided to try to see if Samsung could get it done earlier but when Samsung scheduled the service call, the company and number given were unreachable by phone and I couldn’t find them listed in Hawaii so I cancelled it and will look forward to next weekend when Geek Squad will return.

Get what you pay for
||Posted .This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review.Just over 4 years ago, when we purchased a 70” tv and sound bar, we purchased the Geek Squad delivery & installation as well as the 5 year protection plan. In all honesty, expected the 5 year warranty to just go unused, as most warranties do. Just over 4 years later, when the television began showing signs of a bad LED panel, we placed the call to Geek squad. The hardest part was just getting connected, waiting 32 minutes on hold. But, once on with the agent, everything went smoothly and efficiently. The tv was deemed unrepairable, so a credit was issued towards a replacement. Because Geek Squad was originally purchased, it was included with the replacement - ALL of it - delivery, install, hook-ups, haul away. This policy became money well spent! And needless to say, we purchased the policy on the new, replacement television.

No hassle
||Posted .This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review.I bought a Samsung TV in 2013. I extended my Geek Squad Protection plan before the 2 year mark expired. Thank goodness I did because the next year (2016) after extending the protection, a weird vertical line appeared on the TV screen. Called Geek Squad... so stressed out about it thinking the worst like they won't honor the protection, it's gonna take long to process a new TV, etc. They got somebody right away to look at the TV, told me it has to be replaced, got a call from corporate for pricing... my TV was $2,500.. 3 year depreciation later, they were willing to give me one for $1,500 either get a TV for that amount or pick a more expensive TV and they'll minus $1,500 from the expensive TV. I think it was fair. I didn't think I was jacked or anything. 3 years later, the TVs were more advanced and hi-tech. They gave me the pricing of what my tv with same specs would have cost in current times. I opted to get a more current version of Samsung TV (more expensive) and just pay the difference. Also got a 5 year protection plan this time around.
