    Geek Squad 5 year warranty on Sony 65” TV

    We purchased the 5 year protection plan with our new Sony Bravia 65” X85J TV about 2 weeks ago. Have not had to use it yet thankfully and hopefully we don’t have to! So I really can’t comment too much on this but it’s nice to know that if anything does happen to our new TV that Best Buy will be coming out to our home to either repair whatever it may be (as long as it’s not a cracked or broken screen) that it will be fixed for free or replaced and you can believe that for the money we paid for the TV and protection plan, we will DEFINITELY be holding Best Buy to it!! I have all of the paperwork and have read each and every word in the terms and conditions.

    Always get a warranty for your TV

    For all my tvs over 40 inches, I always invest in a warranty. So far the warranty has been a life saver. I love the fact that Geek squad will repair tv 40 inches and over in home. They will 1st troubleshoot with you. If problem still persist. They will order parts to your home. They will come and work on tv at home. If they can't fix tv, they will offer you another tv. If tv is not available, they will upgrade you to next available one.

    My TV I purchased gave me fateful service for five years. I was one month away from my BB protection plan expiring when I began to experience dead pixels across half of the TV's screen. I contacted Geek Squad by phone and they coordinated to have a new TV sent out ASAP. Received the new unit within five days. And they hauled the old one away for me too. As long as this new TV lasts me another five years, I'll be set!

    Geek squad installed & explained all features very clearly to us. Connected tv to other devices &took my old tv& disposed it. Very friendly, & helpful crew.

    I have had Geek Squad’s support a few times. They are always helpful: phone or in-person! So for me having the yearly plan is a no-brainer. However, I still think Best Buy should not have removed the inclusion of complimentary home set up that they had up until this year!

    Excellent value for the money. In my experience this kind of insurance from Best Buy has always been honored when problems have arisen.

    I ordered TV online told my wife to pick it up at Tacoma, Wa best buy order number: BBY01-806230967350 I told her that it was an open box that was the description given prior to purchase. Our thoughts was its in the "openbox" and it'll be ok transporting in our rav4 laying down but we were wrong. While my wife was picking up the TV the employee's were laughing at her because it couldn't fit in our car. The manager noticed and offered to get the TV delivered with installation. When the TV got delivered I was present at this moment this geek squad guy said that my wall stud were more apart than usual which was weird to me. While they were unwrapping the geek squad guy told me not to take off the tape around the edge of the TV until I get it installed on the wall. The TV didn't get installed because of what he stated, he told me also that I should purchase a different mount for my TV because the one I got was too small for my stud. Few weeks came by (I was out of country for work trying to helped this pandemic issues) and I decided to measure this wall stud and this geek squad guy is probably wrong about the stud being too far apart and yes he was wrong. While taking the TV edge tape I realize there was a crack with hole on the side of the TV (see pictures). Do y'all realize now that I've played like a fool?

    I took it as a protection plan for my 65 inch. If you want a piece of my mind and not thinking of re freshening it for 5 or more years definitely recommend. Pluspoint we can transfer it to other device if we refresh. I checked other plans and by far it is best.

    I have quite a few 5-year warranties I'm so far I will say that they have done me pretty good. My LG C1 had issues they came and fixed it no problem. I also have it for my 65-inch LG C3 and an 48-Inch LG B4. I hope to not have to use it and I hope that if I do have to but I won't have any problems. So as for now it's a four-star rating

    I usually get a warranty with every electronic I purchase. I had issues with a television that I had purchased. I called Bestbuy and was told that I had Geeksquad and my warranty was through them. It took a few visits, but they ended up replacing basically the whole tv just about. Less than a year later, it did the same thing and Bestbuy refunded about 90% of the amount I paid for tv to put towards another tv, so I went bigger. I am glad I purchased warranty or I would have just had to purchase new tv.

    I love Best Buy. Yeah had good quantity fast and friendly service. Good price yes I haven’t been to Best Buy in a long time. I love the shop y’all have good quality good service and I’m so excited to be with y’all. I have a little experience shopping at Best Buy I love it I’m so excited I bought my TV at Best Buy and I love it and the TV does everything that’s why I love the shop yeah have good service.

    Had my lgc1 get burn in and got refunded the full amount very quickly. Upgraded to the lgc4 very happy with this choice
