    Best Buy backed the product. It was a cheap DVD player so the plan was about $10. It quit after a year so I took it back. They looked it up and said no problem, you are covered. Go back to the shelf and get a new one, we don't repair that model. Naturally, I picked a different brand that was the same price. Changing brands was not a problem and I walked out with my new player.

    My TV was one day away from being out of geek squad warranty but they honored it and I was able to get a new TV easily. It did take a couple of phone calls and some emails back-and-forth but no one gave me any trouble or pushback. I highly recommend geek squad protection for anyone’s purchases!

    Peace of mind against OLED burn-in.

    I bought this plan for my 55" LG CX OLED because it specifically states that it protects my purchase from burn-in. I had the opportunity to purchase the same TV for cheaper (after taxes) from AAFES but their plan does NOT cover burn-in.

    Our TV died and fortunately we had the Geek Squad warranty. When they came they were very courteous and professional. Knew exactly what the problem was and explained everything in terms we could understand. Unfortunately he couldn’t fix it but we got our money back and we’re able to buy a new one right away.

    As i am familiar with the brand & the best buy geek squad protection i highly recommend purchasing the protection its a no nonsense policy. The geek squad protection insures that your item will either be repaired or replaced.

    for tv it was kind of brutal . The tv was broke the guy had to come out and change the main board in the tv before giving us a new tv. So this took almost 2 months. We did not have a tv for almost 2 months Every time they came they had to replace the same thing ... The tv was 500 dollars instead of replacing it they spent 3000 on 3 boards that did not work, whatever they had to pay the guys to come out and work every time for 2 hours, This was honestly ridiculous. Nothing made sense. luckily we finally got the replacement after the 3rd time and thats the only reason we get 1 more star.

    I bought an open box TV and it had a small burn spot. I called the service and they came out and fixed it. Now I basically have a brand new TV. They were extremely professional, knowledgeable and helpful!

    I bought the 5 year protection plan and hope I never have to use it for my Sony tv but just in case the geek squad protection plan is as good as it gets from Best Buy.

    Purchased the extra protection because no one actually repairs televisions anymore, and it has been my experience that Best Buy geek squad far outshines any other competitors. They address issues and concerns promptly and can correct most problems over the phone or online. Great piece of mind.

    We love the geek squad. I always recommend getting a protection plan even if you don’t/won’t use it! It is worth it! I will not buy another large item without a protection plan. Geek squad is nice and very quick with what they do.

    Would definitely recommend purchasing the extended warranty! My old tv stopped worked properly after 4 1/2 years and because I had the 5 year warranty, I received credir for my original purchase that allowed me to upgrade to a newer, better model plus some left over to purchase a bluray player.

    GEEK SQUAD 5 YEAR SUPPORT

    I have had this support for many years now and it sure has cut down all the frustrations of any problems with a computer and Ipad and more. My computers have lasted much longer with the Geek Squad help too.

    We love the service we get with Geek Squad, they are professional and will take the time to trouble shoot your problem. If they cannot fix it they will replace it. I’ve been using Geek Squad for over 20 years. They are dependable and keep you posted on the status of your repair or if applicable, your replacement.
