    I purchased a protection plan along with a TV purchase to ensure I had a working and functional TV for at least 5 years. The purchased TV was the high end of the brand at the time and we've enjoyed it. Unfortunately I cannot say the same regarding the protection plan. In my first year, we ran into issues with the TV. It was under manufacturers warranty, so they covered a motherboard replacement. Within a few weeks of the manufacturers warranty ending, ran into more issues with the TV. This is the reason I purchased the protection plan and thought I was covered. It was easy getting someone out to inspect and determine another motherboard replacement was needed. That was during my last week of my remote job. I have since started a new job that's 45mins away. I communicated this and the technician said it wasn't a problem and scheduled a Saturday appointment. The date rolls around and no communication from Best Buy all day. I call and am told no agent was assigned and would escalate my issue. It cascaded downhill more and more from here. I had a total of 5 escalations and >12 interactions with Best Buy customer service via chat, call, and in store. Then I'm finally told by someone at corporate that they don't have Saturday appointments in my area and said I should take PTO. It's a new job that I haven't received any PTO yet, so the rep was basically putting me in position to call out sick and hurt my reputation and employment status with this employer. I ask about options like exchanging or returning for store credit and was told that's not an option because they haven't gotten a chance to fix it. They won't work with you for Saturday appointments. So I've been stuck with a malfunctioning TV for months and am told my only option was to mail a complaint to corporate. I mailed a letter to corporate and still haven't received any type of communication. I've been a long time customer of Best Buy. Very disappointed by this situation and I feel cheated being stuck with a malfunctioning TV. Why would I ever shop at Best Buy again after an experience like this?

    Ordered TV online and was ready to pick up not long after. Wish it could have been delivered but my area is out of range. Great and fast service. Greensboro. Helped load TV.

    My son's tv went blank a year after purchasing it. I bought the 5 year warranty for the tv. I called geek squad and they told me that tv was not in stock. So they upgraded me to the next best tv available. Three days later the tv was delivered and they took the old tv back with them. Service was on point.

    I AM SO HAPPY WITH THE NEW TV. THE GEEK SQUAD WENT ABOVE AND BEYOND SETTING UP THE EQUIPMENT. I AM VERY HAPPY WITH THEM AND WOULD RECCOMENT THEM TO EVERYONE. I WILL ALWYS SHOP AT BEST BUY.

    I bought this extended warranty for a tv that I purchsed for my father. Good piece of mind knowing that he has a 5 year warranty instead of one year that the manufacturer gives you.

    My interactions were very limited. My TV broke in a freak lighter throwing accident literally a week after I purchased it. I bought a 2 year protection plan. Now, I understand that I'm to blame, best but wasnt throwing a lighter to his friend .... missing horribly. However, I was told that basically the TV was trash. I was better off throwing it away. There's nothing that could be done and to just buy a new TV. My protection plan was a waste of money imo. Threw the TV away after 5 months since I couldn't find a place to fix it. Overall, I can only blame myself.... but I can also say that my fear of making a large purchase that wasn't insured ended up being a reality even though I was convinced into buying insurance. See what I'm saying?

    Happy that I purchased he Geek Squad, now a days you can never tell when your appliances will go hey wire and it's always a good to have peace of mind knowing that paying for the extended service will help you if you ever need it. I make it a habit to get the Geek Protection for all my purchases at Best Buy, so far it has been one of the best decisions I have made along with the great purchases I have also made. There is no where else to go for service like Best Buy or selection for what you are looking for.

    Get one. Had a Sharp TV several years ago. It started to die about 2 months before my extended warranty expired. Best Buy sent a technician to my home and when he found that he couldn't replace a defective part, BB refunded my original purchase price and even prorated what was left on the warranty.

    Geek squad helped me get a new tv after the first on broke within a couple months, glad I paid extra for the insurance
