||Posted .This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review.im really glad i buy the extended warranty as you never know what will happen in the future and if your like me you dont have alot of money to throw around at times. so its good to pay a little more now then alot later when you may have to pay a whole lot or be out whatever it is at the time. personally think its worth it as the one year warranties are usually very limited and if u dont find ur item under their exact perimeters then you cannot make a claim.

She was so patient and very kind and not only sitting up the TV and my DIRECTV remote, but she loaded the fire TV remote to my iPhone, and completely set it up for me to her satisfaction. I am a quadriplegic, and she was very understanding of my need to be able to control the television from my iPhone. She spent quite a bit of time on setting my phone up because it was apparently quite an involved process. Normally I would attempt this on my own . But I am glad she did it for me. I wholeheartedly recommend the geek squad protection to anyone making a purchase from Best Buy.

Samsung proves itself again

This TV provides exceptional viewing experience. Color is sharp and sound is great even without a sound bar. The remote is easy to use which is a blessing. The price was extremely good and of course we choice to add on the protection policy which was extremely cost effective but truly dont think we will need it. There were many add on options to view free for 30 days. A great idea to test things out and see if these things suit you. This transaction was easy and delivery was quick and on time. Samsung is the best product in this class and Best Buy has the greatest service. A very good experience.

High Value Purchase Essential

The first major time I had to use Geek Squad was on a fairly pricy monitor I bought. Less than a few months later it decided to spontaneously burn/break mid project. That same day I got it swapped. Not a few weeks later the exact same issue happened. This time it was easy enough to get a credit towards a new monitor that has served me well. Without it there definitely would've been more difficulty. I've also had issues with my TV but I bought the protection plan. At first I thought it was just a remote issue. Got that replaced no issues. A few weeks later it turns out there was a defective memory issue in my TV so I called and was promptly given compensation.

My tablet was damaged I opened the package and dropped it, screen cracked and the service I received went so smoothly. I glad I had ins. coverage, but your geek squad took care of my purchase. I give them a 4-star rating because there's always room for improvement. Other than that, I'm very satisfied with the service provided to me. Replacing a TV.
||Posted .This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review.I bought a TV that started flickering and having major screen issues right after the manufacturer’s warranty expired (of course). I took it back to the store and hey we’re able to send it out because I bought the extra coverage. It took a couple of weeks to diagnose but they contacted me today to tell me that they’re refunding me (in the form of a gift card) what I paid for the TV to put towards any purchase from Best Buy. This is why I buy extended/ enhanced warranties on most electronics. Most of these companies that administer these warranties are very reputable and honor claims that fall within the parameters of the coverage. Most people have unreasonable expectations and suffer from a sense of entitlement the size of a house and therefore claim that these types of coverage are “scams” or “Rip offs” because they fail to take a moment to actually find out what is covered and how the claims procedures work. Frank Zappa once said “Stupidity has a certain charm. Ignorance does not.” Nowhere is that more true than the world of the entitled consumer. Buy the warranty or don’t complain because almost all electronics these days are designed to fail.

Go with Geek Squad!

Since I got this service they are coming to make sure that it can’t be fixed and if it can’t it’s getting replaced for free! Can’t beat that!

I purchased once from a Best Buy competitor and out of caution I purchased the plan. Good thing I did. What a nightmare. NOW - I only purchase from Best Buy and I always purchase the protection plans. It seems a good policy for me.

Worth the Investment on your $$$ Electronics!!
||Posted .This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review.I researched for MONTHS and purchased the Samsung 65" Class Q90T Series QLED 4K UHD Smart Tizen TV, Model: QN65Q90TAFXZA and I wanted the extended warranty for peace of mind on my investment. Best Buy has the Best Extended Warranties of ALL the retailers and I highly recommend them with your very expensive purchases. I service & repair TV's for a living and I know 1st hand how these things fail and it sure is nice when you have an extended warranty on your expensive investment. Especially if you have an LED Backlight failure. It is not cheap however I highly recommend it over an expensive out-of-warranty service cost. I do NOT want to have to service or repair my own brand-new $2k Q-LED TV should it fail within 5 years! On my other cheaper bedroom sets I did not purchase a warranty. But I highly recommend them on your higher-end more expensive purchases!

Disappointed customer
||Posted .This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review.I purchased a protection plan along with a TV purchase to ensure I had a working and functional TV for at least 5 years. The purchased TV was the high end of the brand at the time and we've enjoyed it. Unfortunately I cannot say the same regarding the protection plan. In my first year, we ran into issues with the TV. It was under manufacturers warranty, so they covered a motherboard replacement. Within a few weeks of the manufacturers warranty ending, ran into more issues with the TV. This is the reason I purchased the protection plan and thought I was covered. It was easy getting someone out to inspect and determine another motherboard replacement was needed. That was during my last week of my remote job. I have since started a new job that's 45mins away. I communicated this and the technician said it wasn't a problem and scheduled a Saturday appointment. The date rolls around and no communication from Best Buy all day. I call and am told no agent was assigned and would escalate my issue. It cascaded downhill more and more from here. I had a total of 5 escalations and >12 interactions with Best Buy customer service via chat, call, and in store. Then I'm finally told by someone at corporate that they don't have Saturday appointments in my area and said I should take PTO. It's a new job that I haven't received any PTO yet, so the rep was basically putting me in position to call out sick and hurt my reputation and employment status with this employer. I ask about options like exchanging or returning for store credit and was told that's not an option because they haven't gotten a chance to fix it. They won't work with you for Saturday appointments. So I've been stuck with a malfunctioning TV for months and am told my only option was to mail a complaint to corporate. I mailed a letter to corporate and still haven't received any type of communication. I've been a long time customer of Best Buy. Very disappointed by this situation and I feel cheated being stuck with a malfunctioning TV. Why would I ever shop at Best Buy again after an experience like this?

Great extended warranty @ a low price
||Posted .This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review.I always take it an extended warranty because I have found out that it pays off in the end and besides, I want to make sure I'm protected. Best Buy's warranty is a very good warranty, that's why I have no problem in paying for it, even if I don't use it, I do have a piece of mind during those 5 years since the manufacturer warranties are usually only 1 year. Just being able to take it to Best Buy, rather then sending it off, makes it even better.
