    Worth Every Penny for Coverage!!!

    We chose the previous TV carefully for the desired features and were sad when a storm resulted in the TV not turning on. As the TCL warranty did not cover the weather-related symptoms, I turned to the Geek Squad for help. We had purchased the Geek Squad coverage with the TV and I’m so thankful we did!!! They diagnosed that not only the power supply was damaged, but the main board was non-functional. As parts were not available, they replaced the TV. I quickly purchased the Geek Squad coverage for the replacement TV, as well, for an extremely reasonable price. One Squad member came to our home to diagnose, and another delivered the new TV. We are so pleased!!!

    Havent used the geek squad warranty but purchased as the coverage is a fair price. If the backlight fails, the replacement cost is mire than the 5 year warranty/service plan.

    Added this to help my mom out. Super cool that tvs over 45 inches, they come to you. So you don’t have to lug around the tv

    This protection was helpful but not in all the ways i thought. Some items don't qualify and that's not what i thought when i purchased. Now i buy individual protection for each item, it's easier to understand. The services are pricy so i never sought them out.

    The extra 5 years cost me $40 and I think it's completely worth it. It does not cover physical accidental damage. I bought a Samsung TV from Bestbuy and after 4 years of long use via gaming, the power supply went out, something the warranty would cover or if there's a bad HDMI cord.

    OK , got the 5 year service plan for TV, not sure if it is worth it for a TV like other products, was told if any problems I could swap out Tv and even upgrade, Tv had an issue took it in and then told no, they have to try to repair it first so had to take the Tv back and then call and set up service, takes about a week, they made a repair did not fix it, had to wait another week to try again, still not fixed so waiting on another week, what got me was the reasons they gave for the problem with the Tv,just didn't pan out, like after not quite two years of reception, it must be my antenna, while my other Tv's still got reception, then this Tv's tuner must not be as good as the cheaper models of the same brand that were getting reception but it was like anything but the Tv, I felt like they aren't going to let me get another Tv if there is any other possible reason besides the Tv, so now it is on me to figure out otherwise !" I" finally figured out or narrowed it down that it wasn't the tuner or my antenna because I got my signal back and narrowed it down to a USB problem that it seems no one can understand, so happy I got it to work again but my Tv still doesn't function as it should, could be a firmware problem but bottom line, I paid for all the functions and EXTRA for a SERVICE that wasn't worth the frustration and time that I have had to deal with, that $80-$90 could have been spent on a new TV and the time spent watching it, sorry !

    When I bought a plasma tv about nine years ago I bought a five year plan because I knew the plasma tvs where going away and couldn't get it repaired. In four years the plasma screen did indeed go on us and Best Buy replaced it with a Sony LED 4K. I bouht a new five year plan and in three years this tv screen had problems. And sure enough this TV was discontinued so they couldn't get parts. So they replaced it with a new Sony TV. So I bought my third five year plan. Worth every penny.

    Always get the warranty. It is worth it in the long run if you constant use the tech, Best buy is some of the best in the business at honoring its warranties.

    So glad I paid for this. I usually don’t, but when it comes to TVs I’ve been burned enough to know it’s worthwhile insurance. Sure enough, our TCL 75 in screen went out not 3 months after the manufacture warranty expired. The Geek Squad came out, tested the picture, confirmed it needed replacement and called the exchange in immediately. I had a confirmation number and a link to the number where I spoke with an agent to get it replaced. So seamless and efficient. Thank you Best Buy!

    All I can say is one word. Phenomenal! Geek squad workers get the job done and are very courteous. They solved my problem in a fast, diligent, and timely manner. The questions I asked and the answers I got were very well satisfied to me. Best Buy has a customer for life. Geek squad members are a credit to their profession. Kudos and 5 stars to the Geek squad.

    The Geek Squad agent I had at my house when my old tv died was so nice, really knowledgeable, friendly, and very professional. He answered all my questions about my old tv and more. When there was no hope for the mother board since the tv was 10 years old, he broke the news to me gently and did not try to sell me anything new. Then, of course, I wanted to hear about new tvs! The Geek Squad agent told me what he recommended and I was then really excited to go out to Best Buy and get a new tv since the prices have really come down in the last 10 years. I hate to buy anything unless I need it, so the Geek Squad agent explained all of my options before he would fix my old tv. It was obvious that the motto was "The King is Dead...Long Live the King" as in - the old one had to go and I had to buy a new tv. My purchase experience at Best Buy for the new tv was also really terrific. I did not feel rushed, the agents at the store, like the one who did my home visit, were professional, really patient and super knowledgeable. Thank you, Best Buy! Really appreciate you in the Tech World explaining things to me since I would not have known anything about old or new tvs w/o your Geek Squad agents. They are really well-trained and helpful.
