Very good plans and they stand behind exchanges or returns with no questions asked

I usually do not add any service protection to products I buy. This time I did. Best Buy offered a 2-Year Standard Geek Squad Protection: for $89.99. This seems very reasonable if anything should go wrong with my television once the manufacturer’s warranty expires.

Great peace of mind for any high value purchase. Super easy to use through the website or app.

my tv was 40 days old and the hdmi ports burned out , made a call and got a repair person out the next week

I’d gotten this warranty with a brand new tv, and when we hired someone (not from Best Buy) to mount the tv on the wall, he broke it. It was literally two weeks old. The warranty doesn’t cover damages, but when I called Geek Squad to ask whether I could transfer the warranty to the new tv I was going to have to buy, they made an exception for me due to my unfortunate circumstance and told me they’d replace my entire tv. I was so shocked and blown away because I didn’t expect that at all and was fully preparing to buy another tv. The customer service is the best I’ve encountered and it’s absolutely worth it to buy the warranty.

Glad to know my TV is protected by Geek Squad. My TV is protected for 5 years for a convenient price. Last TV was destroyed during moving not taking the same chances again.

Invested in a TV protection plan! Well worth just in case!

I bought the coverage for a TV. When the TV wouldn't turn on it was replaced with a new one.

The Geek squad protection had to be activated for my Samsung 55" inch TV after 3 years. Plus side: I was able to get the value for the TV to trade in for another TV. Minus: once you have to 'activate' your Geek squad for the trade in you lose it. I think it could be argued that if the Geek Squad concurs that your TV can't be fixed and needs to be replaced after 3 years, why shouldn't I still have two years of Geek Squad Protection left? So I guess it's not so much 'protection' as 'insurance,' but def. better than having to buy a new TV flat out.

They are always on time and they do really good job with repairs

The tv is incredibly clear and worked easily right out of the box.

Haven’t had to use it yet but it gives me a peace of mind knowing my product will be taken care of.

I opted for an extra two years of protection and I've read great reviews from other customers that used these guys. Definitely add protection to any electric device, it will give you peace of mind just in case something went wrong.

Great warranty protection at a great cost! We bought a 32" inch TV for a raffle.

I purchased the 2-year Geek Squad Protection Plan thinking it would provide immediate coverage if something went wrong with my new TV. Unfortunately, that’s not the case. What they don’t tell you upfront is that if your product is still under the manufacturer’s warranty, Geek Squad won’t help you, they’ll just refer you back to the manufacturer. That means you’re really only getting about one year of coverage, not two, because Geek Squad won’t step in until the manufacturer’s warranty expires. To make things even more frustrating, if your TV is wall-mounted, Best Buy won’t unmount it for you unless you pay an additional $150 or hire someone else to do it before they’ll even assist you. So, even though you pay extra for “full protection,” it doesn’t actually feel like full protection at all. This experience feels misleading and like false advertising. When you buy a 2-year protection plan, you expect help anytime during those two years, not to be bounced between companies or charged extra just to start the replacement process. Customers deserve better transparency about what this plan actually covers and when it applies.

OLED TVs are known to occasionally have risk of burn in, so geek squad protection is always a great idea when the warranty is only a year.

I have spent a lots of money over the years. Being a customer for over 30 years plus. And i haven't had to many return merchandise. And i am going to give Best Buy 10.

I love to always get a Protection for the years cause you never know what will happen. It’s better to be safe than sorry.

The sales representatives were very helpful and the checkout time was very good and the customer services was good also.
