    Even if something happens during the 1 year warranty, you never have to deal with your TV manufacturer support because they always suck. Best Buy is amazing with their support. My experience might be unique but they come out to look at my TV, determined what was needed to fix. They didn't need to replicate it, but I had recorded a video of the issue. A day after my service call, they tell me they can't get the part in a timely manner so they offer me a gift card for what I paid towards a new TV. Of course I ended up with a more expensive set and re-bought the warranty so I ended up having to buy a new TV, but I much rather would have spent the $400 than losing out on $1600 for a TV that was just 14 months old.

    I mean its a must, if you buy somethint for a $1,000 don't you want to have some sort of coverage on it?

    5 Year Geek Squad Protection Plan

    My TCL, in its 4rth year of service, failed to come on one day. I took it to Best Buy with the warranty paperwork. Less than a week later, I received an email that they were declining to make the repair and that I could come in and present the email and get a replacement TV. That is what we did and the process was seamless and also painless. I am pleased that we had that warranty.

    I bought an open box Samsung Q90 tv that was only missing the standard tabletop mount. When it was received at my home I found a decent scratch where the tv was bubble wrapped and undoubtedly was rubbed by a pallet jack during transportation and the delivery team didn’t bring the correct One Connect box with it. After a quick trip to the store to determine that the Correct One Connect box wasn’t there and a quick 15 minute phone call later to the Geek Squad, I had a brand new TV scheduled for delivery to my home, no questions asked. It was well worth the extra money to protect the investment.

    Had this on my last TV, it began having issues just before plan expired so I got lucky. BB kept trying to repair it but then something else came up. I was kind of ticked off as it was costing more to keep trying useless repairs. Finally after over 3 months of failed attempts they called it a wash. I took the full credit and upgraded to a better set. It was a pain but in the end they apologized when they reveiwed my purchase history. I got another 5 year plan for the new TV.
