Better have it and not use it, than need it and not have it.

Quality of service not as good as past years. The online Geeks completely wiped out my data, email, etc. All while assuring me this would not happen during call for routine help during COVID-19 lock-down. After speaking with two supervisors and receiving numerous apologies, I took to the store when possible. Again, swapped out software but the Windows added is not the same as I ha d. Very disappointed and reluctant to have any laptop help via the GeekSquad now.

They just dropped it off. They didn’t bother to help me mount it or set it up.

This plan is basically useless. I was not informed that in order to really fully protect my TV that I actually needed to purchase a Geek Squad Protection plan AND a plan to cover anything that might be interpreted as "accidental damage". I have a 55" Samsung (second one purchased from best buy) that I called Geek Squad about. They were easy to contact and quick to diagnose the problem remotely, but they stated that the problem with the screen was "impact damage" and would not be covered by my plan. I bought the plan in the first place because I had previously only physically moved another TV in a moving truck about 3 miles, and the TV's are so sensitive to any movement it totally killed the screen. It was not under warranty, so I found myself purchasing another one, only adding the protection plan to protect myself this time. Or so I thought. I am not happy with what I was sold here and should have been more informed about additional protection options to be truly fully covered.

The customer service from geek squad is horrendous. I set up a service call to repair a LG OLED tv before Memorial Day because it doesn't power on. A quick internet search reveals there is a known issue with the power board, which was confirmed during the first visit. Yet here it is after the 4th of July holiday, no new power board and no working tv. The local store cannot (or claims it cannot) provide any help. All you can do is call an 800 number, be placed on hold, and be told they will call you back with a repair date, which doesn't happen. No one seems interested in fixing my TV.

Hope I never need it but then I will consider it a waste of money. A no win situation
