    I haven't needed to use this plan, but I'm definitely happy I bought it. I financed my whole purchase at 0% using the BestBuy card and the added peace of mind is definitely worth it. Living in the city (NY) without a car means that, in the event of an issue, it's a HUGE issue getting a TV around. This plan alleviates that concern, and I'll get it every time.

    Did not need a full service install, but prompt and curtious service on time and they called ahead. Good service.

    Always get the geek squad protection just in case u never know my TV went out in a year and best buy replaced it at no cost and yes they do honor the insurance on almost everything a little bit more money but its worth it.

    Never Leaving Best Buy

    My sole purpose for shopping Best Buy is The Geek Squad. They are Amazing. I am computer illiterate, When I bought my first laptop, an assistant went above and beyond to see that I got the best laptop at the best price for my needs. A few weeks later he was promoted to Geek Squad. Now I call I ask for him, he takes the time to explain whatever it is i need to know. His name is Teo, hes at the Selingsgrove Pa. Store. As long as Best Buy keeps GEEK SQUAD, ILL KEEP SHOPPING AT BEST BUY.

    TOOK more then 90 days to get a new tv had to rent

    Same as the last time this is my second time dealing with geek squad replacements. They kept replacing the board which DID NOTHING!!! i was without a tv for almost 2 months . I had to rent a tv for 89 a month until they said they needed the board to fail 3 times instead of giving a replacement. So it was a 1500 dollar tv the reciept showed every main board was 1199 so they spent 3 times the tv's cost in repairs plus whatever it cost the truck and workers and then the 4th time when they picked up the tv and dropped off the other. This is crazy and if they just stopped this weird policy i dont know if its made up or what because it was the same guy every time i do not know if he was just saying this to pocket the money or what but its a crazy thing to do keep putting something that does nothing to fix it 3 times and wasting money and everyones time and making me have to rent a tv for a month. Honestly the only reason i give 2 stars is becAUSE they finally gave me a new tv what the old one was worth.

    Get the 2 year first

    If you're looking to get a Geek Squad warranty start off with a one or two-year you can always add on. If you start out with the 5-year like I did on my TV spent $380 on it. My TV broke after nine months and I lost for years worth of warranty because it doesn't transfer over to the TV they replace it with so you have to buy a brand new warranty on the new free TV they give you. On my new TV I just got the 2-year and they said they would email me when it's fixing to run out so I can add another two years to it

    I did have to have tv replaced due to a faulty audio port. It was a painless, quick process. the extended warranty gives me peace of mind.

    Excellent customer service. Delivery and set up plus removed old set. Knowable technical support and helpful staff. Only complaint is you are on hold for 10-15 to get a Customer service representative and then another 20 minutes to take to Geek Squad which is in an other country like Gatamala. What can we not talk to store?
