Pretty good plan they come out whenever you need them to for whatever you want if there is a problem with the TV as long as it isn’t damaged on the outside they take it back worth the costiii

There is no warranty or protection on this TV... I bought 2 and something happened to 1 I call them for weeks to hear there's nothing anyone can do.. but they sure as hell will take your money though

Listing the extended warranty as average cause we have not had to use it at anytime yet. Assuming good value at this point.

I've never had this service and so far I haven't had to use it. Hoping if I do it'll be a good experience. I'll update you if I get the chance. From what I can tell - it seems to be worth it.

The geek squad protection is not something that runs after the manufacturer warranty expires. It is something that runs the same time as the manufacturers warranty. So when you purchase a 2 year warranty it is only really 1 year since the manufacturer covers the first year. What they don't tell you is that your paying for them to come out the first year and do the installation for you which is why it is easier for the consumer. Wish that there was more explanation of the program during purchase because a further extended warranty would've been taken for defects that could show up on the television after two years.

Its not terrible but it willnot cover physical damage. However the people involved are very helpful

Purchased this protection plan for my Sony A9G after my first one died after 5 days of owning it. We’ll see if they actually cover defects or replace it.

Not a fan of this peace at mind they sale you. I had a repair done on my daughters gaming laptop (the repair was for the screen not the battery.) when we got it back we plugged it in worked great okay awesome. Well she leaves it plugged in normally but one day we wanted to have a bring your system in the living room family gaming night she unplugged it and it shut off it would not turn back on. Unless the power cord was plugged in. took it back asap it happed to be the posted date it”expired”. they said it was already expired and I’m out of luck unless I wanted to pay their repair prices.I called the customer service line they seemed to careless. It’s my fault for not checking their work that’s why I say there is no peace at mind in it. I have 8 kids so I would normally buy the protection plan but not anymore no thank you.

Geek squad is a complete joke and a huge waste of money and time. They used to be good. My 12-year-old kid can outsmart them. Don't waste your money, find a kid to help. The kid is smarter and easier to find.

they do not honor the geek squad protection, the customer service reps are overseas incompetents, that don't know what they are talking about.im shocked they havent gone out of business , they dsold me a roku tv that turns off and on when im using my air conditioner remote , the tv resets constantly for no reason . the foot stand risers just cracked and my tv fell now i have scratches on my tv .i will never by a roku or none american made tv .

Easy to purchase and showed up in my account right after the order went through. It is a bit pricey than what I wouldn’t liked for a warranty.

After having my Sony TV 65" for almost 3000 dollars not happy at all with the geek squad service. After seeing the TV going blackout more than 3 times already also not happy with the quality ad the TV comparing it to the OLED version which I choose cause the best buy member recommended to me this model I tried calling best buy wanting to either change my TV for the OLED model or get my money back, right after they transfer me 2 times they just told me how to reset the TV and that was it! While when they sold the TV they told me.no matter what they'd help me if I wasn't happy with my purchase!! After this I'm not buying any more protection plans from here cause it's not worth it at all! I don't recommend to get it! Next time I rather get my TV at places like ..... that offers you 90 days returns in case you don't like it without having to pay extra for a waste of money geek squad protection plan! unfortunately I checked that policy after buying this TV from Best Buy! Not buying another TV from here after that problem or any protection plan

A NIGHTMARE! TV was shipped to me cracked - Best buy did not have any available for shipping so I drove the cracked TV 90 min each way to replace. I get home and get a email that someone cancelled my 5 year plan and replaced it with a 2 year. I have talked to over 10 people on the phone and have have them open two separate cases (whatever that means) and NO ONE can make that 2 year plan back into the 5 year plan I purchased. So FRUSTRATING to deal with, as no one can help and you can't talk to anyone above lever 1. Buy stuff form ANYWHERE else and save your self the frustration! Also love how the phone agents hand up on you when they like.

I purchased Geek Squad for my replacement TV for $19.99 after the Best Buy branded full motion TV mount failed on my TV sending it crashing to the ground four feet below. They said the damaged TV returned to them was the one they had sent as a replacement. Literally, the serial numbers are printed on the boxes and in barcode form!!! If they would check the serial numbers, they could see that the tv sent to them was damaged, and it shouldn't have removed the geek squad I purchased... I gave them the broken tv and I fear that the mount will fail some day and they removed my geek squad 5 year...

Only supports hardware issues. Useless when I encountered software problems caused by ASUS. There is no reason Geek Squad would need additional charges for software problems outside of a money grab.

It’s a protection plan that I always buy but never use, not once. most items come with a warranty.
