Best Buy's Extended 5-year Plan for $179.99, is a bargain, compared to SONY manufacturers Extended 4-year Warranty (max.) -$178.99. And, after reading the fine print in comparison to the 'GEEK SQUAD", without a doubt, maximized service monetarily- BEST BUY was the way go (SONY offered same TV sale at the time).

I always purchase the protection plans from Geek Squad. I haven't had to use it for this item, but over the years I have used them several times and never had an issue. Multiple times items have had to be replace, I always ended up with a newer and better product. This is a good on investment if you plan on having your item for awhile.

Makes me feel safe I have professionals that will work on my products.

What's there to say about Geek Squad?! It's a great service for a great price. I wouldn't be without them.

It is so inexpensive (based on the cost of the product) and depending on what it is you buy there really is not anything it does not cover - PLEASE, I beg you to read the fine print though, certain items have different coverages like any other "insurance" - this is just the easiest EVER!

Technology has become so sophisticated that it isn't easy to set up a new smart tv. There are so many options that I was not sure how they would affect my tv viewing preferences. We purchased this just in case of technical issues or difficulties with our TV unit. Its better to have a back up on top of the limited warranty and I believe it is easier and convenient to schedule a service with the geek squad compared to the actual warranty company. At least that's what I heard from the actual agent as a tip of advice.

We purchased the protection plan at the recommendation of the salesman at Best Buy. We were purchasing a new Samsung SMART 3D 4K TV and he thought we should have it for our peace of mind. We have problems with our power going out when it gets windy, and we were told that power flickering and power outages can potentially damage TVs. We opted to purchase the protection plan so we could feel better about our large investment in our new TV.

Geek Squad protection plans are affordable and give me that extra peace of mind with my Best Buy purchases. I am free to thoroughly enjoy my products without any worry, and I know that should anything unexpectedly go wrong with any of them, Geek Squad will keep me smiling and glad that I bought their protection. Worth every penny.

I hope I don't have to use the 5 year protection, but it's worth it for my new 77" tv

All my appliances were vreaking down at the same time: the laptop, tv, smartphone, and etc. My tv wasn’t even a year old yet. I digned up for 5 year agreement for peace of mind. It is an excellent investment
