I was able to install the TV and start it up without need of help from the Geek Squad service. However, I thought that having the Geek Squad service available for 5 years was a good idea for a peace of mind, like an insurance policy. Typically Consumer Report Magazine does not recommend this type of coverage as electronic devices are generally very reliable and long lasting. Indeed and interesting, my previous 48" Flat Screen TV failed exactly 5 days after my 5-year Geek Squad service expired. During those 5 years I did not need any service from the Geek Squad. Hope this TV lasts longer then 5 years and 5 days!

This saved me money in the end and unlike a lot of insurance it was used at point of purchase which made the transaction simple.

Geek squad arrived on time, did a wonderful install on our 65" screen, wall mounted, with sound bar, providing explainations as they proceeded.

I bought 3 TCL tv's online and used the curbside pickup. I was greeted quickly when I arrived. They were very professional and courteous.

Geek squad protection plans are worth the extra money. several years ago I had purchased a 46" Samsung 3d/smart/hdtv. after less than 18 months, It had a huge dim bar across the screen. it was irreparable and Best Buy had to give me, at minimum, what I purchased. they no longer had 46" 3D/smart/HDTV's, so they had to give me a 55". The plan saved me from having to buy a new tv and I also got a size upgrade. can't beat that!

I purchased the 2-year Geek Squad Protection Plan thinking it would provide immediate coverage if something went wrong with my new TV. Unfortunately, that’s not the case. What they don’t tell you upfront is that if your product is still under the manufacturer’s warranty, Geek Squad won’t help you, they’ll just refer you back to the manufacturer. That means you’re really only getting about one year of coverage, not two, because Geek Squad won’t step in until the manufacturer’s warranty expires. To make things even more frustrating, if your TV is wall-mounted, Best Buy won’t unmount it for you unless you pay an additional $150 or hire someone else to do it before they’ll even assist you. So, even though you pay extra for “full protection,” it doesn’t actually feel like full protection at all. This experience feels misleading and like false advertising. When you buy a 2-year protection plan, you expect help anytime during those two years, not to be bounced between companies or charged extra just to start the replacement process. Customers deserve better transparency about what this plan actually covers and when it applies.

First time trying xumo tv. Its great. All apps in one easy to use ui. Tv has hdr. Great features at a price that is more than reasonable.

Best way to keep your items safe and can get another or fix with this plan

I have never been disappointed with any LG item I have purchased, and this one is no different. Easy set up out of the box as well as easy to connect the AppleTV and LG soundbar. The picture quality is perfect, as is the size. I would definitely buy another.

Great price and excellent picture. The 4k channels are amazing. I purchased the 5 year warranty at a reasonable price. I’ve used these warranties from Best Buy in the past and TV was replaced.

Best Buy & geek squad always resolve any & all problems. Have never had any issue getting help with any situation I’ve had. Buy all my electronics here and will continue to do so.

I think the Geek are the best cause they help you in a lot of ways they make sure you are protected and you feel so happy because they look into everything. PS that's why I recommend the Geek group as well cause they take care of you to the best of knowledge to help you .

The mounting of the TV went smooth. Technicians were on time and cleaned up their area after mounting the TV

The entire team from the salesman that helped us pick out our television to the other young ladies with lots of great information of the products sold in the store and our cashiers. Each person was polite and helpful! Due to great service we have returned and purchased a laptop from Best Buy1

I will say though that in the distant past (back when a 65in Pioneer Plasma TV cost between $9,000 -10,000) they allowed an extension of the original extended warranty and honored their coverage in about year 8 of warranty replacing that TV with an equivalent unit (now Panasonic) which is still in use today some 14 years from the original purchase and still a great TV especially for sports, action and 3D movies.

It's an average protection plan and nothing else. Hopefully I'll never have to use. Bestbuy has lost touch with their loyal customer base in regards that they want to push That 179.99 a year Total Tech Plan every time you purchase an item and that's where you are automatically enrolled in a card blanche protection plan (FOR AS LONG AS YOU PAY 179.99 YEARLY)!!! Making the regular protection plan mediocre at best. A SCAM and a money grab if you ask me. especially when for as far as I can remember I've been an Elite Status member for spending a certain amount of money a year and now anyone can become an Elite Member for 49.99. Doesn't matter how much you spend in their store. SCAM!

Worth every penny to extend my warranty 2 more years and to get Geek Squad home service to fix and repair my new TV. I have had back surgery recently and am older. I needed a Geek Squad warranty to have the luxury of home service vs me having to load up my TV and taking it to a repair shop.
