Purchased the 5 year Geek Squad Protection Plan to go with our new 65” Samsung TV. Only had the TV for about 2 weeks now and so far no issues and hopefully we don’t have to use it but if we do, we will definitely be holding Best Buy to their part of the deal for sure!

Best buy protection is worth it especially if accidental damage from handling is part of the plan. I had that plan on my Microsoft surface pro 3 and had the unfortunent event of damaging the screen beyond repair, I had renewed the plan twice and I was so happy I did because I was able to get my surface replaced and now I have the pro 6. I will continue to get protection from now on!

$25 for a 5 year warranty on a tv on sale for $150. I hope I won't need them but couldn't pass it up.

Was looking into buying a TV through Samsung as there protection plan and other offers seemed pretty good, but then looked through Best Buy and the offers with Geek Squad protection seemed just a few points better money and protection-wise. Geek Squad does a good job of servicing any needs or issues.

Nice to know i have a warranty for 2 years. Last tv i had lasted a little over a year from a box store.

I understand that the consensus is never to buy an extended warranty but, like every other insurance policy you will buy in your life, you'll pay and hope you never have to use it. Depending on item bought, I just consider the cost of the 'protection' as part of the item's cost. IF something goes wrong, there is no chance in he!! I can pick up a 77" TV, put it in my car and get it to the Geek Squad for diagnosis and service.

Purchased this additional warranty support contract to cover the item purchased with it. Always good to have a backup plan if there are any unforeseen issues with the technology.

I always buy the geek skquad protection just in case anything malfunctions . I have 2 items get replaced for what i paid for the product

Fortunately, haven't had to use it yet. But with prior experience with another product... It was a bit inconvenient to have to set up an appointment in order just to drop off and pickup for service. (This prior to Covid). And what happened to be wrong with product wasn't covered under the plan. It was a bit deceptive in what it covered when purchased. I was under the impression that if anything went wrong with product, it would be corrected. You need to pay attention to fine print, to amount of time of warranty and to specifications of what will be covered. Ended up costing me additional money to get repaired. In this instance, not worth the coverage price. Yet, on the purchase of a different product... it was repaired 3x's. Again with the appointments for pickup and drop off. (Prior to Covid) Finally, was replaced with a comperable item. The one I had purchased had been discontinued. In this case, the plan was worth it, minus the inconvenience of picking up and dropping off by appointment. It was just strange that they wouldn't discuss anything with you about problems with product without an appointment. So it basically comes down to what you're purchasing, cost of products and cost of replacing them, as to whether or not price of additional warranty is worth it.

We purchased a new Samsung television but wanted the extra protection beyond the manufacturer's warranty. The cost was a no brainer given the amount of things it covered. With options of three and five year coverage, we ultimately went with the five year. The cost difference was minimal making the five year the better deal.

Haven't had to use it. Will use if need to. I know other people who have used it and said that they wre please with them.

My samsung tu8000 stop working after two in a half years so happy i got this 5 year protection plan. Returned the broke tv and they let me pick out another tv of the same value.

Worth it, no matter what product you purchase. Best buy is the only one who covers burn-in.

The Geek Squad did a thorough job of analyzing my TV’s odd behavior and recommended a replacement TV. I called the next day and they set up an appointment for a home visit. They were on time and very knowledgeable.

Technology has become so sophisticated that it isn't easy to set up a new smart tv. There are so many options that I was not sure how they would affect my tv viewing preferences. Joshua from the Geek Squad walked us through every option and explained what each meant. Havent had to use it yet but have had a good experience with geek squad in the past.
