    The extra protection.

    I had the extra protection on my previous TV that after four years stopped working. They give me a brand new compatible TV so I am purchasing it for this TV that I just bought. From the time I called to report the problem to the resolution was less than 30 minutes.

    So far so good! I’m only inputing 1080P into it because I’m using it as a computer monitor at work. I had bought the 65 inch in this model for a small conference room at work and was impressed, so when this was on sale and they had an open box deal, I jumped. It’s more than bright enough, and the little that I’ve used the speakers, they’re not horrible for what they are, but I wouldn’t want to use them for watching movies in a family room. I’m a speaker snob though. I installed this and the 65 myself.

    I learned late last year that the administrator of my extended warranty on an Epson printer had changed. I had forgotten about the warranty and had replaced the printer. I still had the inoperative printer and returned it and was able to use the funds to buy a Roku TV. Very pleased.

    Giant TV, Amazing Picture

    I love this huge TV! The picture is excellent! The full-array local dimming on this TV outperforms my cheaper direct-lit 4K TV. Trust me, it makes a huge difference! Especially on newer movies with Dolby Vision, it is amazing! The pictures don't do this TV justice. Heck, even the demo in store doesn't do this TV justice! I did go over budget purchasing this TV, but even my wife is very happy with it. I think it's money well spent for the size and picture quality. Hope this helps

    Runs at 1440p on Series S

    Bought this to use on my Series S, manual settings on the console will allow this TV to run at 1440p and 60Hz, even though TV is listed as 1080p. No HDR and only 60Hz, CEC is nice but the 1440p was a surprise. Speakers are downward facing and if something is under the TV it will sound acceptable, when playing music the loudest I have gone is 15 and while gaming I usually keep it at 10 or 7, it goes to 100. With a wall mount attached the TV screen sits out 5" from the wall, bezel is about as wide as a BIC lighter (thinnest point of lighter). No smart functions, no ethernet or wifi, but you can update the firmware with a USB stick and menu settings if need be in the future.

    TV extended warranty a must have. I bought a $500 Hisense TV a lil more than 2 years ago. Once the tv was out of manufacturer warranty the tv started have black bars show up in white scenes and you could the tv was losing its picture as well. Called geek squad to report a case and since it made more economical sense than try to repair they replaced the tv with one that cost the same price. This happened in November so the sale prices were in effect i was able to get a better U7 55 Inch free. If you're spending $500 or more on a tv always get the extended service.

    The "Must-Have" Insurance Policy for Open-Box

    If you are buying an Open-Box TV from Best Buy, do yourself a favor: do not leave the store without the 5-Year Geek Squad Protection. I recently picked up a high-end 65" OLED in "Excellent" open-box condition. While the savings were massive (nearly $600 off retail), open-box items are inherently a gamble. You’re often dealing with a limited or already-running manufacturer warranty, and with modern TVs, if the panel goes, the repair cost usually exceeds the price of a new TV.

    Purchased 5 year year protection warranty to get at least 5 yr usage from this new flat panel tv. Some of the reviews stated that the tv failed after a few months usage so I will see if this happens to me. Hope I get at least 10 years usage from this flatpanel tv purchase! Products made today (yr=2026) dont have the quality like the ones made 10-20 years ago.

    The 2 year protection really saved me when our tv screen accidentally got shattered in a spot from a glass bottle. They replaced my tv no problem and even helped me load it into my vehicle

    Hah! Just in time! I forgot that I had purchased the 5-Year Standard Geek Squad Protection plan until the other day when I found my receipt for TV. 11 months ago we bought a new 55" Insignia Fire TV. For the past month it has been changing channels in the middle of movies/programs and going to the TV Guide. Sometimes the TV just shuts off. So anyways, I found the protection plan, called Geek Squad and had an in person service call within 2 days! Now that is awesome service!! They come tomorrow. I hope they can figure it out as this new TV has been a lemon since we bought it last December 11 months ago.
