    Great economy 4K HDR TV

    For the price this is a great economy 4K HDR television. I paid $300 plus tax and extended warranty and really wasn’t expecting very much. When I had finally set it up (Actually it practically sets itself up) I was very surprised to see how great the picture was especially when in HDR mode. I ran videos from YouTube and showed family members and they were all enjoying it very much. For $300, or less, I don’t see how you can do better. This transaction was done in October 2019.

    Defective screen, large central white halo

    There is a large central white halo in the middle of the TV screen. I only found out about this AFTER mounting it unfortunately (having adhered to all instructions and precautions very carefully). I am a healthcare worker and have to travel for work a lot so by the time I got back home, unpackaged it and set up the wall mount, it was on day 16th from delivery date (past the 15 day return policy. Very unfair). Extremely disappointed at Sony products. Do NOT buy.

    the geek squad was very helpful I brought in a few computers that were outdated and irreparable and they were able to retrieve my info and pictures onto a harddrive. they were friendly quick and efficient

    I purchased the 5-year Geek Squad protection on my last television. It played out after a little over 4 years and Best Buy was quick to arrange for a full replacement. I repurchased the protection plan on my replacement. This is the best protection for the investment. No hassle and great service.

    In my opinion not all items need a protection plan, but for a tv in my house, needed! Tv's are so light weight and the screens are more sensitive to a cats flying attack of images on screen, the "opps I missed " thrown balls or the backswing in sword play, and of course the accidental discharge of an airsoft gun's bb's. Then for the normal household ,things like surge protection, pixel loss, speaker crackling and now days the "Smart" portions of the tv. So I say yes to tv protection plans.

    I like the idea of having extra protection. My hope was that it would be added on to the original warranty instead of dual coverage. Our last TV purchase was from Best Buy in 2007. That TV died "one day," after the warranty was up. It was a $500 repair to replace the motherboard. It is my hope that this new TV will last us 13+ yrs. without any costly repairs.

    I experienced a few issues with my five year old 4K LG, and Geek Squad personnel were very diligent about resolving them. The pleasant experience with Geek Squad personnel made the five year Protection Plan on my Sony XR65A95K an easy decision.

    I do not normally buy extended warranties, but the day I bought my $3k dollar tv I had to drive 3 hours and it was freezing drizzle and I had no other means to pick it up than in the open bed of my pick-up. Great peace of mind if you have to get something expensive and have difficult circumstances to get it home in case of damage.
