I have not needed to use Geek Squad but it is nice to have peace of mind knowing if anything happens they have your back.

I always buy the five year Geek Squad protection because Best Buy honors it. Totally worth it.

Tv looks great while playing games, BUT has a severe problem with judder/soap opera effect that is very distracting while watching tv!

Purchased Geek Squad Protection Plan, sometimes a deciding factor when purchasing item of a greater value. Great people and Team of experts at Best Buy! Not always needed, which is a good thing, but beyond any product's warranty and experiencing problems, they come and repair products on-site and if parts become unavailable, they will replace it with a new product. I can only speak highly of Geek Squad Services.

It's essential to have this protection because you never know if a device will be good or not. It may come with a manufacturing defect that isn't usually noticed at first, but after a certain amount of use, a problem arises. That's what Geek squad protection is for.
