    Hope you don't need it but 5 years covers it. My Vizio panel went bad after 4years 10 months, 5 Year got me into my new LG without having to pay hardly anything out of pocket! Was easy to call and initiate with Best Buy, had a new TV next day.

    If I could give it 0 stars I would. I bought a 77" Sony OLED from them a year ago. My previous TV had been broken by a Toddler visiting my house so I asked the sales associate if their protection plan covered a cracked screen like a toddler throwing a balloon weight through the TV. He assured me that it would. Well... we moved and guess what, after taking all the precautions to make sure the TV did not suffer any damage, the screen cracked. Best buy now states they don't cover cracked screens on Sony OLEDs... I was conned into buying an expensive warranty for the sole purpose of accidental damage on a TV that is now useless. Beware, their sales associates don't know what they are talking about. Looking at it in the best light the sales associate sold us the wrong protection plan. In the worst light, he conned us into a membership with basic protection plan to get a bonus or some kind of kickback when what we wanted was the protection plan with accidental damage coverage.

    Used to cover tablet port

    One star lost after anticipated repair wasn't listed as solution (though appears to have occured) When I brought in my son's tablet for repair, the technician felt the port was bad and wrote it up as such. When it was returned, no port repair was listed, but upon observation, it appears to have been performed. I would have liked the complete repair process to have been documented. The charge cord was replaced as listed repair. Ultimately, the tablet is working/charging properly but I'm worried about the process. This time it was an unlisted repair. Next time it could be a claimed repair that wasn't performed.

    So I mainly purchased this so I could get a warranty and let professionals install our ridiculously expensive entertainment system. Well we have had nothing but issues. So... had to get a replacement TV (Sony - 85" Class X950G), wifi disabled completely, fine whatever. They reinstalled the new one, cool. Definitive speakers (High-Performance 10" 3-way Tower Speaker) constantly pop even when the TV is not even on. Our Logitech remote (Harmony Elite) has issues switching inputs/devices almost every single time we use it. Only when using the smart TV apps it randomly shuts off with the Receiver (Pioneer - Elite 9.2-Ch). Geek squad has been out twice since installation, can't figure out why the smart tv/receiver turns off by itself, can't figure out why speakers always pop, and did absolutely nothing to the smart remote... still have all the same issues over 6 months later. Wife wants to return everything back if we could.

    I have used geek squad on a couple of other items (computer, vacuum, washer and dryer). The couple of times we had to use them, they were easy and quick to use. I will definitely recommend them to anyone.

    All my appliances were vreaking down at the same time: the laptop, tv, smartphone, and etc. My tv wasn’t even a year old yet. I digned up for 5 year agreement for peace of mind. It is an excellent investment

    Had a Sony XBR 65” tv that was starting to act crazy! Geek Squad came out updated and replaced a part in the tv. It worked well for about another 9 month until the picture started to have lines through it or would restart on its own. Geek Squad replaced this unit, very happy that the customer service received.

    The geek squad protection is 2nd to none hands down never leave best buy without a warranty, no matter what you will never go through a 3rd party warranter you will always deal with best buy directly

    If I am going to invest in such a expensive item as my 75 in tv [X900F], then I have to purchase insurance on this. Hope I never have to use it. Always rely on Best Buy for a lot of my needs, especially my major electronics. They are quite knowledgeable and eager to provide their input. Please, do ever remove this store so close from my home here in Kendall.

    I always purchase the Greek squad agreement when I purchase televisions as the manufactures warranty does not include shipping and at times the service is not very good. I have found that the geek squad service backs up the purchase of the TV really well.

    Not many places will come to your home and repair appliances. The geek squad does. Purchase with best buy and get your moneys worth with this extra benefit.
