Get this when you buy! We've had our tv for awhile now, remote stopped working (the dog maaaay have chewed on it) and boom, they're giving us a free remote. Also, since our tv is over a certain size, if anything goes wrong with it, they'll come to our house to fix!

Almost 2 years ago, I purchased a 65" Sharp Roku TV from Best Buy. I'd never purchased an extended warranty before, but this time I did and now I'm glad. About a month before the warranty expired, pale streaks started showing up on my screen. I called Best Buy and they sent a technician out. The panel was going bad and they couldn't get a replacement, nor was the TV still offered. The technician gave me paperwork and told me to take it to my local store. Sure enough, they took care of me! I picked a new TV, paid just the difference in cost from the original, and a week later the new TV was delivered and the old one taken away. And yes, I bought the extended warranty for the new one.

I have had Geek Squad’s support a few times. They are always helpful: phone or in-person! So for me having the yearly plan is a no-brainer. However, I still think Best Buy should not have removed the inclusion of complimentary home set up that they had up until this year!

Overall, I am very satisfied with the 5-Year Standard Geek Squad Protection plan. It provides excellent coverage, convenient service options, and peace of mind knowing that my device is protected for an extended period. I would highly recommend it to anyone looking to safeguard their electronics investment.

Picture is great, but it drops WiFi connection almost daily. It’s annoying when something I’m watching suddenly freezes and then I have to go through the menu to reconnect the internet. I’ve tried restarting the tv and my router and it still happens.

Hopefully i dont have any issues nice to have the sqad to back me up

I have purchased 3 TV through Best Buy and no longer need Geek Squad to mount or hook up my Items They are very good at hooking up or fixing your Products and with the price of the Geek squad Service I am purchaseing any product that saves me Lots of money

Best Buy has the best protection plans for the cost

Worth every penny. The Geek Squad folks are great at diagnosing the problem and walking you through fixing it either through online chat or by phone. If you have to take the item in for repair, they offer convenient appointments.

Make no mistake bout it...U Need 2 get it..we had a Lg HG, for3 yrs. Squad came to work on it, within a few minutes, after he left, had 2 call him back, 4 same thing. After 45 mins, he couldn't repair it. Went next day, got a brand new Lg..cost? 0. ALL modern electronics should be under and Extended Service Plan. From TVs to Computers, and Smart Phones, it seems, these days, that electronic devices can fail at a moment's notice. I've always believed in protecting my purchases with Extended Service Plans, and Geek Squad's Service Plans are no exception; I HIGHLY recommend purchasing a Geek Squad protection plan for all sensitive electronics.

I usually do not add any service protection to products I buy. This time I did. Best Buy offered a 2-Year Standard Geek Squad Protection: for $89.99. This seems very reasonable if anything should go wrong with my television once the manufacturer’s warranty expires.

Was not too difficult to get the old TV looked at and the report submitted for review. The answer to replace came within a few hours. It was too expensive to have the Geek Squad just hang it on the wall so I choose to just have the delivery and haul away done as outlined in the warranty. However, I was never told that I was responsible for taking down the old TV from the wall. This caused over a 3 week delay in finding someone who could take the old one down and replace it with the new one. This cost me more money that I should not have spent other than installing the new one since I had the Warranty. This was on top of waiting over 3 months of getting this resolved due to the suspension of home visits.

It's a warranty, but not one you should be weary of. Most protection plans have gotten a bad stigma over the years, but this Geek Squad protection plan has never let me down. Best Buy has also been helpful and resolved any product issues I've had due to this warranty. Protection covers numerous categories, so give yourself the peace of mind and pickup the added coverage, it costs essentially the same as a weeks worth coffeeshop trips but now you're TV is worryfree for 2 years.
