    Just purchased a new Sony 75'' tv and the 2 yr extended Geek Squad warranty. Brought it home myself. They wanted 200.00 buck's to deliver and set it up. I got a friend to help with unboxing and set up. " It takes two people to unbox and set up this big tv. " Out of the box the new Sony TV has a bad Pixel. Red dot with a line all the way across the screen. First, I was asked to bring it back in for exchange myself? Of course I said no, I purchased the "Geek Squad Warranty ". They told me if I had any issues they'd come to my house and fix it.! Long story short. Even though I purchased the " Geek Squad Warranty " where they said they would come out and fix my tv at my house for no charge,... they said because it's still covered by the manufactures warranty they would have to send it back to the manufacturer for repairs! Could take weeks. They will exchange it and deliver me a new tv at no charge and set it inside my house and pick up the old new tv but that's it. I will be responsible for unboxing and setting up the new tv again myself and disposing of the big box and all of the packaging. Also, today is the 4th of July 2024, my appointment for receiving my replacement TV is 7/17/24, 13 day's from now and the the so called NARROW appointment window on the 17th is 7 am to 7 pm.!! Really?? Lol. I need to be available for 12 hours? Is the best we can do? I'm glad I have the warranty or I'd have to box this thing back up and return it myself but I'm disappointed that I got a defective tv, that's on Sony. I paid big buck's for what I expected to be a top Quality product! I'm also disappointed that Best Buy won't just come out and fix this TV, that's why I paid for the warranty! So I wouldn't have to go through all of this hassle with returns, exchanges etc.

    It has saved my peasant existence of a life from spending an absurd amount of money for any product. Between defects, wear and tear over time, or bad products overall, the warranty has been very helpful. Between getting my money back, exhanging, or getting store credit, it honestly is one of the only reasons why I even shop at Best Buy.

    Great thing to have, some people say it will never go bad. Well if the manufactures warranty is 1 year and the TV gets hit by lightning surge and Fry's the circuitry 1 year and 1 day later you are out of luck. If you have one of these plans your covered.

    Haven’t had to use my Geek Squad team as of now. Love my new Samsung TV and sound bar!! Have used the squad years ago and it was as a simple easy process. Thanks Best Buy!!

    I typically don't do extended warranties, But these days, unfortunately, manufacturing quality isn't what it used to be and I didn't want the hassle of dealing with the manufacturer if my Polk S2 sound bar died... and die it did. It was a breeze to walk into the Best Buy store with my soundbar and accessories and get an immediate refund for exchange or upgrade to another system. Definitely worth the extra $24.95 for ease of return and peace of mind. Not too bad for $5.00 a year for 5 years of insurance.

    I bought an open box Samsung Q90 tv that was only missing the standard tabletop mount. When it was received at my home I found a decent scratch where the tv was bubble wrapped and undoubtedly was rubbed by a pallet jack during transportation and the delivery team didn’t bring the correct One Connect box with it. After a quick trip to the store to determine that the Correct One Connect box wasn’t there and a quick 15 minute phone call later to the Geek Squad, I had a brand new TV scheduled for delivery to my home, no questions asked. It was well worth the extra money to protect the investment.

    I needed service on another TCL TV with dead pixels after the manufacturer warranty ran out. Service guy assessed the issue as unrepairable. So, the extended warranty kicked and a new a TV was ordered. Delivered yesterday and I completed the set up. All is well again.

    Greek squad warranty is a must of you but anything of high value!! Don't save money when it comes to this extra coverage!! You'll regret it if you don't.

    Diagnosed and fixed the issue in about 10-14 days. Much better than using manufacturer. It's about the people, so a big thanks to the technicians. If BB didn't have this, I would buy from another online retailer.

    We recently bought a pc and cellphones. Best Buy has competitive pricing on products. We plan on getting an appliance in the near future and the 10% credit on this purchase can be forwarded to the appliance if we signed up for an in store card. I was uncomfortable this when it was necessary to provide my SS# and drivers license. Still hoping this all works out, we get the discount promised to us, and Best Buy data base doesn't get hacked.

    Always get the GSP on TVs. ya never know how much you use them now and they arent built like appliances. appliances are built to last 10 years. but TVs arent, and TVs have alot more functionality and use so Id always get GSP on TVs/

    I used their service once on my computer and they did awesome. They explained fully what was wrong with this and advised me what to do if this happens again. Great people who fixed it.
