Go with Geek Squad!

Since I got this service they are coming to make sure that it can’t be fixed and if it can’t it’s getting replaced for free! Can’t beat that!

Not 4 weeks, not 2, but under 7 Days!

I brought in a TV that I was experiencing audio and video issues with within the time frame that my geek squad plan allowed. The team at the desk was kind enough to explain the whole process and made mention that it can take up to four weeks for repairs/evaluation of the TV but that it can be as fast as two weeks - I got a response with five days! Sure enough they honored the value of my previous TV model and credit me the value to pursue another television since the model I originally purchased did not exist. I was quite impressed and it was as smooth of an experience I ever had at BB.

Worth the money I spent on the warranty!!

The one bad thing is the Greek Squad doesnt have tv repair in the story. They used to have it inside the store. I took it in at 4:00pm & didnt know you had to make an appt. The salesman sd i had to make an appt. So I took the earliest one 7:30pm. So i asked when would it be ready? He said about 3 weeks. I said you could travel to the moon & back in that time. So I took my tv & brought it back at 7:30pm. The made took all of 5 mins filling out the paperwork. So I ask him when will it be back & he said in about 3 to 8 weeks. I said oh my gosh that is to Mars & back! But I got an email in about 5 days that they couldnt repair so I got My Full Purchase price back! So I bought another one like it.

Worth Every Penny for Coverage!!!

As the TCL warranty did not cover the weather-related symptoms, I turned to the Geek Squad for help. We had purchased the Geek Squad coverage with the TV and I’m so thankful we did!!! They diagnosed that not only the power supply was damaged, but the main board was non-functional. As parts were not available, they replaced the TV. I quickly purchased the Geek Squad coverage for the replacement TV, as well, for an extremely reasonable price. One Squad member came to our home to diagnose, and another delivered the new TV. We are so pleased!!!

Earth's Mightiest Warranty!

A huge part of why is the protection plans, I cannot recommend them highly enough! I have been buying the Best Buy Geek Squad Protection plans on virtually all of my electronics for more than 10 years and have never been disappointed by the exceptional service. Not once! Ever! This is absolutely the best warranty service in the retail industry! It's in a class of it's own, there is nothing else like it. And I tend to be a hard customer to please!

Thankfully I have only had to use it a couple of time, sure glad that I had it. Some people don't care to or say not purchase. I personally always feel better when I do.

Inexpensive "insurance"

My view is the technology has advanced far enough for "fixed location" electronic items, especially TV/Video displays that the manufacturers should include at least 5 year warranty other than accidental damage. They don't. Best Buy through the Geek Squad gives you what manufactures should; extended warranty. Knowing I'm covered for failure of the product and don't have to lug it back to the store is "sleep insurance." Haven't had to use it on the Sony, but a laptop I bought, we south on me under the Geek Squad warranty and the replacement was no hassle. Even got a slightly newer model of the same product (Lenovo) as my model wasn't available. No hassle. I know some have complained about Geek Squad service, but my view is it's a local issue, not one of the program, and I've never had an issue with level of service with my chosen store (I have 3 I can get to in about the same time).

Better to have and not need than need and not have

I was just a little more piece of mind at the time of purchase. Well, almost 2 years later, the client returns from a long trip to discover the center of the screen was darkened. Forgetting I had the coverage until i looked up the info to find a similar size (vesa mount was an issue), and discovered i had purchased the protection. A few calls later, it was determined that repair wasn't feasible and replacement for a current model of similar price and size would be initiated. The process went smoothly, they delivered the new set and even took down the mounted set, which was another surprise because I was under the impression i was going to have to do that, but they beat me to it. Overall, very happy I added it to the purchase, the client is very happy as well as they were thinking they were going to have to buy another. Smiles all around!

Best Warranty and Service in the Industry

I've bought this warranty for each of my kids laptops when they go into college. I have one who tends to have issues with her machines. In every case, Best Buy has honored the warranty and fixed or replaced the machine. Awesome Job Geek Squad!

TV Warranty Worth It

Not happy about the way the Geek Squad works.

The way this one works, we are only getting one year instead of two years (the one I purchased). Not happy about that at all. During the original warranty, the manufacturer should send someone out to repair your TV.

With the 2 year plan you are paying for one year after manufacturer warranty expires. My new TCL 75 inch TV is covered and I am pleased. Had the plan years ago on another TV and when that could not be repaired , the warranty company gave me a code, I walked into Best Buy and picked a new TV... no money out of pocket, so prior use and peace of mind !

Protect your investment; it’s worth it.

I usually don’t, but when it comes to TVs I’ve been burned enough to know it’s worthwhile insurance. Sure enough, our TCL 75 in screen went out not 3 months after the manufacture warranty expired. The Geek Squad came out, tested the picture, confirmed it needed replacement and called the exchange in immediately. I had a confirmation number and a link to the number where I spoke with an agent to get it replaced. So seamless and efficient. Thank you Best Buy!
