I purchased this to make sure if I had any issues that it would be repaired quickly. Never had to use it except on the occasional xBox Controller. This was purchased for a TV which is always good to have.

Geek Squad protection plan is great. Any questions about a device purchased at Best Buy they are always ready to answer. If a device needs to be replaced, with this protection is no problem. A piece of mind to have this protection.

I always buy the 5 year when purchasing my TV's. Every time my TV's die I am able to replace it which is wonderful. The only thing I don't like is the fact that the department is closed on the weekends if you want to get your transaction completed. I had to call that Monday to let Geek Squad know what was going on and you have to wait for a Best Buy card via UPS next day air by 5pm. That was the only draw back for me.

Purchased the Samsung 43" TV for my son. I don't want to get a headache when he tells me it doesn't work. I purchased this 5 year Protection so I didn't need to worry. I would recommend the Geek Squad Protection to all for any product.

Haven’t had to use it yet but have had geek Squad service several times in the past year and frankly, where I am, they’ve been so good that I always try to purchase through Best Buy.

At 12:39 PM CDT, 54 minutes later, we received a text message from the Geek Squad Technician for the Geek Squad Claims, Phone Number: 1-866-613-9853 and a Claim Number for the warranty to cover a new TV replacement. Talked with a Geek Squad Agent, in the discussion with the Agent we let her know that our local store does not have a comparable TV and according to the Agent a similar TV is not available in any warehouse. The Agent said we did not have to decide immediately and we could take our time finding another TV set. POOR CUSTOMER SERVICE. AFTER MANY ATTEMPTS TO CONTACT GEEK SQUAD TV REPLACEMENT CLAIMS 1-866-613-9853 WE FINALLY WERE ABLE TO SPEAK TO AN AGENT AFTER ALMOST THREE (3) HOURS, BEING DISCONNECTED, REDIALING, DISCONNECTED, REDIALING, DISCONNECTED, REDIALING. THAT REALLY IS NOT THE WAY TO DO BUSINESS. NO EXCUSES! Since a like similar TV was not available in any warehouse, we opted with the Geek Squad Claims Agent to take a Best Buy Gift Cash Card for the amount of the TV replacement. This was agreed to with us and the Agent before we ended our call at 2:47 PM CDT. Our Agent "G" promised on Thursday, July 2, 2020 at 2:46 PM CDT to send us the money for our claim in the form of a Best Buy Cash Gift Card and said it would be arriving by UPS-United Parcel Service and I should be getting an email confirming this transaction with a UPS Tracking Number. SUNDAY, JULY 5, 2020 I AM STILL WAITING FOR THAT UPS TRACKING NUMBER. WHAT IS GOING ON? When it comes to buying expensive electronics, I have learned to add the option of additional warranty protection. It's cheap when added at the time of purchase, and it gives me peace of mind to know I'll get prompt and professional service conducted in my home. The Geek Squad Protection option is a great value.

The extra protection plan is worth it on high dollar items. I've had a TV fail after a year, Routers die etc. Call them up or take it to the store and change it or refund with no hassle.

TVs aren't lasting as long as they used to. Sometimes less than a year before they develop a critical issue. This takes the worry and hassle out of getting it repaired or replaced.

One of the best tvs I have ever bought. The stand did need a little elbow grease to get screwed in..

I like Insignia TVs, they're a very good value, but I have had things go wrong after the one year warranty (and have seen others have problems with other value brands). The low price of the extended warranty looks like good insurance. Best Buy was good about handling a problem I had with an Insignia TV while still under warranty, so I have some faith that they will do right by me if I need to use this extended coverage.

Always get it. You never know when you might need it.

Some folks believe that the Geek Squad Protection plan is just another gimmick to get more money from the customer. Its like any insurance. You purchase it hoping never to have to use it.
