    Always get the protection if ur TV is over $1000. I bought the 5 year warranty on my old Sony tv. It broke 4 years 7 months in the warranty and they offered to give the same model for the new year or $870 towards new tv. It was definitely worth the money. BTW I paid $1000 for the old tv.

    I always buy protection plans from best buy on major items. One of the things that I appreciate is that as a best buy program member, my account is on file, so I never have to keep receipts. And I've found customer service at best buy to always be amazing. In many years shopping here, I've used the protection plan once. Funny thing is that it was on a portable cd player almost 2 decades ago. I had left the player in my car and let the batteries corrode. I didn't even know I had purchased a protection plan. Then 1 day I get an email from best buy letting me know that my protection plan was ending (and I think asking if I wanted to get a new plan). I went to my car, found the cd player and brought it back. They didn't even make those anymore at that time, so I was able to get a stereo instead. Lol. That was so long ago, I'm not sure if they even would do that anymore. But, it made me a loyal customer! And also convinced me to always buy the protection!

    WOW, This was a great buy for the price for this tv,and with the help that we received we picked the perfect tv for the room we put it in. There are no complaints on,color or picture. Sound was fine but with the great service we got the best sound bar witch i will leave a review on it as well.

    I have spent a lots of money over the years. Being a customer for over 30 years plus. And i haven't had to many return merchandise. And i am going to give Best Buy 10.

    I love the Geek Squad because they have always been so professional and bend over backwards to satisfy their customers. They have always treated me well. Today 09/20/2021 I went in to get a TV repaired that was almost brand new and they made the transaction so easy and aloud me to exchange it for a brand new one. This is why I have never ever purchased somewhere else even if the product I want is cheaper. I have literally spent thousands of dollars over the years at Best Buy and I always walk away knowing if anything goes wrong they will fix it. Always purchase the extra Geek Squad warranty it is well worth it and you will have no problems if your item stops working.

    5-Year Standard Geek Squad Protection

    ALL modern electronics should be under and Extended Service Plan. From TVs to Computers, and Smart Phones, it seems, these days, that electronic devices can fail at a moment's notice. I've always believed in protecting my purchases with Extended Service Plans, and Geek Squad's Service Plans are no exception; I HIGHLY recommend purchasing a Geek Squad protection plan for all sensitive electronics.

    worst service by Geek Squad on OPEN BOX OLED TV

    I waited for holiday deals and bought an open box-Excellent Oled tv from Bestbuy.com. also bought geek squad protection for five years. within the first month, I realized that the tv screen had some defects. so I scheduled a Geek squad appointment to get it fixed. customer care representative told me that this will be replaced by the company as it is still under manufacturer warranty. on the day of the appointment, instead of coming home to Diagnose the tv Geek squad technician, he called me and asked for the picture of the tv and mentioned it was gonna factory be replaced by Sony. He asked me to pilled the screen from the corner(he thought there was a screen protector screen on the Tv) even after denying him multiple times, he asked me to pilled the screen while I was on the phone. and that made the tv screen break from the corner. and as soon as this happened, they just switched their opinion and asked me to go to the store and get the store credit and return the tv. I spend enough time finding a deal. drove 1 hour to pick tv from the store, and just with this incident, they asked me to go store again and return the tv and get store credit. unfortunately, no one was able to solve this problem on the phone as this was an open box, and neither best buy or geek squad system allowed them to make any arrangements. I felt like I bought a worry under geek squad protection. All I wanted was to get my problem fixed. my tv got fixed or replaced. but not a single gesture of customer service was provided by anyone. Finally, after multiple visits to the store and hours and hours of calls, I returned TV. I would never buy any product from BestBuy after this horrible experience. Returning money is not always a solution Bestbuy. Bestbuy should consider the situation and the inconvenience caused by the wrong instruction of the geek squad technician.

    Make no mistake bout it...U Need 2 get it..we had a Lg HG, for3 yrs. Squad came to work on it, within a few minutes, after he left, had 2 call him back, 4 same thing. After 45 mins, he couldn't repair it. Went next day, got a brand new Lg..cost? 0. Yes, when i purchased my new Samsung, u better believe, i got that 5yr...DON'T LEAVE THE store without it...u will b glad, this 1 review u read

    Amazing Service to Simplify Electronics Support

    The Geek Squad is an amazing service, and it is the reason that we only purchase electronics at Best Buy. We recently had an expensive television's picture stop working. One simple, quick call to the Geek Squad resulted in a fast, in-home appointment. The television could not be fixed, so they offered us a current replacement, as we were still within the 5 year warranty period. When nothing that was available would fit into the space, they refunded our entire purchase price via a Best Buy gift card, instructing us to simply go to the store and choose any television that we wanted. They have setup home theater for us, so many times we have used them. Again, we would not even try to own electronics without their support. We always buy the maximum Geek Squad service, and on so many occasions, it has been well worth every penny spent. Love this service, love the Geek Squad's professional, knowledgeable technicians.

    The Geek Squad Protection Plan is great! I had a different 65" tv thar had a problem with the screen. After just under a year, the screen went completely grey. I had the Geek Squad come and check the tv out. First they changed the PC board but that did not help. Next I got to exchange it for a new 65" tv. The process was fairly easy. The person that I spoke with on the phone to help me with the exchange was so nice and very helpful. She let me know my choices of tv's and put through my order. The new tv arrived in just a few days. I purchased a new 5 year plan also.
