Definitely worth the extra money. After 4 years my old tv went bad and they quickly replaced my old tv with a new one.

So glad we haven't had to use this service but comforting that Geek Squad Service is available to us if we do.

Do not buy this service or at best buy, period. When you try to return your TV that had a display failure 30 days after purchase, they will send you home woth the non-functioning TV and tell you to call a 1800 # that is unable to schedule your "service" in the next 2 weeks. But you cant return it... good thing i paid for the exended warranty. You can only return a product to the store for 15 days after purchase. They would rather pay a Geek Squad to drive 1 hour plus roynd trip to try and repair a $250 tv rather than exchange it in store and send the tv(still under manufacturers warranty) to repair. Worst customer service I've had from any business in at least a decade. If i could give no starsor a negative star review I would.

The Geek Squad is great. Everyone at Best Buy is knowledgeable about the available products, and they are very helpful in finding the products that will work best with my own personal needs. The staff at Best Buy are very helpful.

I don't plan on breaking my tv but the protection plans always come in handy!!! I pretty much buy a Geek Squad Protection plan for everything from cameras down to TV's. You will never know what could happen so its best to stay on the safe side.
