So glad I paid for this. Our TV stopped turning on after about a year and half of use. Since I got this service they are coming to make sure that it can’t be fixed and if it can’t it’s getting replaced for free! Can’t beat that!

After having a large tv fail in less than 2 years and having purchased such a program prior to this purchase I would not buy a tv without an extended warranty! And this time added a power surge addition!!

Getting the extra protection is worth it. I recommend it to everyone.

This for us is a no brainer. If your making a big investment the piece of mind geek squad gives you is nice. I bought this exact same tv a couple of years ago with no protection true story and after a couple of months the screen broke. That tv is at the town dump. Anything can happen and no it wasn’t the kids. Life happens. Even after the year a line can come down one side then the other and your out of luck. Then you’ll be wishing you got that protection. So take my inexperience as a reviewer and just get that much needed protection. Hope I helped.

So let me share my agony. Purchased my 23 yr old Daughter a 65” TV for Christmas. It was really for my 1yr Granddaughter…SHHHH! Well I mounted it on the wall, of course, and within a month or two they moved into another apartment without the roommates. Before place was remodeled for them they spent 3 weeks at her In-Laws. Well I moved them both times and when TV was turned on again after two moves, though seemingly perfect, the screen had apparently been pressed to hard at a single point and did not work. Not worth fixing. Bought her a 70” this time WITH THE WARRANTY!! Don’t make the same mistake I did :]

I have always purchased the Geek Squad protection plans for large purchases. Thankfully I have only had to use it a couple of time, sure glad that I had it. Some people don't care to or say not purchase. I personally always feel better when I do.

Well worth it for certain item levels. Very useful option for peace of mind. Since Samsung doesn't think much of their products and provide a minimal warranty I got this to be safe. My last tv has lasted well but the next one failed in less than 2 yrs. I Showed them the issues and they instantly gave me full credit of purchase price. Too bad they don't consider a sale price when giving credit. I had to pay out a little over $100 to get an exact replacement with the current model since there were no sales at the time.

They're excellent in everything you bring to them.

I believe the Geek Squad protection should start at the end of the original manufacturers warranty, not immediately. The way this one works, we are only getting one year instead of two years (the one I purchased). Not happy about that at all. During the original warranty, the manufacturer should send someone out to repair your TV.

Definitely needed this for my tv, hung it on the wrong mount and it started glitching.
